I don't get it when they already have a SG Ben Mclemore. That'll be a cluster for him. Plus sac is having all that drama with Karl. Hopefully Matthews makes the right choice singing with Dallas.

Tomorrow could be one of the best days ever for mavs fan or one of the worst. If Matthews jumps on, I think DJ will too. Or vice versa.

In Parsons I trust.

If he gets both of them, then he'll be looking at 100 million next summer?

Ben Mclemore is not a starting quality SG. His presence will not make a difference to Matthews.

@WojYahooNBA: Yahoo Sources: Clippers meeting with free agent DeAndre Jordan includes Doc Rivers, Steve Ballmer and Gillian Zucker. No players.

Looks like Matthews is waiting on Jordan according to Stein...at least that is the way it sounds to me.

Marc Stein: ESPN sources say that the Sacramento Kings have offered Wes Matthews a three-year deal in the $45 million range. But ESPN sources say Dallas is Wes Matthews’ preferred destination — over both Kings and Raptors — and that Mavs are favorites to land him

He's 22 years old and in his second year in the league last season he started 82 games and put up 12 ppg on 43.7 FG%/ 35.8 3P%/ 81.3 FT%. His presence is definitely a factor.

Dallas new big 3.....Parsons/Jordan/Matthews.
Hope that is the case tomorrow night.

That should attract some decent players.

It's feast or famine as far as I'm concerned.

Plan A: Parsons/Jordan/Matthews new big 3 core

Plan B: Completely rebuild

There should be no Plan C...don't think I can go through this again next season with a 38yo Dirk.

Plan A: Parsons/jordan/matthews
Plan B: Dirk, what the heck do u want: retire, trade, keep trying, something else?
Plan C: do whatever dirk decides to the best of ability

the only rebuild is if dirk is gone via trade or retirement. he's sacrificed quite a bit to not be allowed that option. having him with a stripped down roster would be a crappy way to go out...

So which is more appealing...a crappy roster full of vets with no upside or a crappy roster full of young guys with some upside?

The results will be about the same either way if Plan A fails.

He's also a terrible defender. They aren't paying Matthews 16/4 to timeshare with Mclemore.

@ArashMarkazi: DeAndre Jordan's meeting with the Clippers is done. No decision at the moment.

@latbbolch: DeAndre Jordan isn't expected to drag out decision but there is some thought he will announce after LaMarcus Aldridge.

Why?

Not sure why, unless there's a possibility they can team up somewhere...

@BA_Turner: Source on Clippers/DJ meeting:"The Clipper meeting was good. Their information was good. They kept it very professional.".

@WojYahooNBA: Yahoo Source: After Clippers meeting, DeAndre Jordan remains "truly 50-50" and "torn" on choice between Mavs and Clippers. Decision looms.

Interesting.

I'm awaiting his return to Clippers. I'll be shocked if he comes to Dallas. I think if he really dislikes CP as much as reported he will leave. Otherwise? He won't.

Didn't have players there. His teammates would probably be the #1 motivation for staying.

Or in the case of Chris Paul, his #1 motivation for leaving.

@ramonashelburne: As for the Clips. DeAndre has concerns about roster. Doesn't know if it will age well. Worries what happens with only 2 years left of Blake.

Acceptance.

The other 9 players? Well, we are a work in progress

(We're just running out of tools)

So I guess it's DAJ or Hibbert.

Speaking of Hibbert, I'd assume the Clippers might want him if they lose Jordan. Would three way S&T Ellis to Indy, Hibby to Clips, DAJ to Dallas work? Wouldn't that leave us with something like 9 million in cap space to work with? Or are my numbers way off?

D.Lord had some thoughts on that earlier today...

LAC will need a center, but will have no cap room. So a 3-way deal sends Jordan to Dallas, Ellis and Felton to Indy, and Hibbert to LAC.

And if LMA chooses Phoenix, then we could almost def get Markief Morris for Tyson...AND still have cap space for a pg. That would be a huge turnaround.

"@fishsports: Friend of DeAndre tells me he was Clips/ #Mavs '50-50' going in to tonight. But that was pre-Wes. @1053thefan"
