Ben Mclemore is not a starting quality SG. His presence will not make a difference to Matthews.

Looks like Matthews is waiting on Jordan according to Stein...at least that is the way it sounds to me.

Marc Stein: ESPN sources say that the Sacramento Kings have offered Wes Matthews a three-year deal in the $45 million range. But ESPN sources say Dallas is Wes Matthews’ preferred destination — over both Kings and Raptors — and that Mavs are favorites to land him

Dallas new big 3.....Parsons/Jordan/Matthews.
Hope that is the case tomorrow night.

That should attract some decent players.

It's feast or famine as far as I'm concerned.

Either going to be a bunch of ecstatic Mavs fans or everyone going suicidal.

Plan A: Parsons/Jordan/Matthews new big 3 core

Plan B: Completely rebuild

There should be no Plan C...don't think I can go through this again next season with a 38yo Dirk.

Plan A: Parsons/jordan/matthews
Plan B: Dirk, what the heck do u want: retire, trade, keep trying, something else?
Plan C: do whatever dirk decides to the best of ability

the only rebuild is if dirk is gone via trade or retirement. he's sacrificed quite a bit to not be allowed that option. having him with a stripped down roster would be a crappy way to go out...

So which is more appealing...a crappy roster full of vets with no upside or a crappy roster full of young guys with some upside?

The results will be about the same either way if Plan A fails.

He's 22 years old and in his second year in the league last season he started 82 games and put up 12 ppg on 43.7 FG%/ 35.8 3P%/ 81.3 FT%. His presence is definitely a factor.

He's also a terrible defender. They aren't paying Matthews 16/4 to timeshare with Mclemore.
