Greatest Comedian of All Time
I would agree with most of you who said Martin Lawrence, but his movies are not all that funny. His show is my favorite show of all times, but his movies could be better. He is one of the most talented stand ups.
And Xerxes, i wouldn't say anybody from SNL. They seem like they need to rely on other people to make them funny. Plus none of them are stand ups, except Hartman.

Greatest Comedian of All Time
Stand up: Eddie Murphy
TV: Larry David & Dennis Miller
Movie: Chris Tucker
FYI: About SNL, the actors/comedians have to write and fight for their own material to get on the air. If a guy is staring in a sketch chances are he wrote it. Some guys who do impersonations and recurring characters don't write their own stuff. It's a cut throat show and I was surprised to hear that's the way they operate, then again I wasn't all that surprised considering how lame alot of their stuff typically is.

RE: Greatest Comedian of All Time
Steven Wright has been my favorite comedian for years. He is just hillarious. But one thing I have noticed, his material doesn't change much. But I love his comedy...
