In a related development, the 76ers have reached agreement on a six-year, $18 million dollar contract with Dallas Maverick free-agent Greg Buckner. It appears the 76ers and Mavericks are working out a sign and trade deal for Buckner and baggage and would land the Mavs one of the 76ers young big men (either Samuel Dalembert or Alvin Jones), Damone Brown and possibly restricted free agent Matt Harpring. The Sixers would like to maintain flexibility regarding their median exception and a sign and trade for Buckner would accomplish that goal.
