He is devin harris quick but we already have devin and very little time to play him plus he has no jumper so i dont see the need for him. Would still sign him for anything less than 3 mil a year. But he will get more than that.

young players will not want to come to dallas since they are loaded.
old warriors who want a champsionship opportunity will though. but hopefully he wants a champsionship, but its the same as any case, go where to money is.

Marcus Banks. A young player that was on the Celtics last year and was traded to Minny in the Ricky Davis deal. The thread title has a typo.

No.

He doesn't fill a need (shooting) and has no desire to improve. F'em and I'll be laughing at the dumbass that signs him.

His attitude and jumpshot are negatives. But I think it might be worth signing him--at the right price--for his defense. He'd be a great player to stick on Wade, Parker, and Nash.

As a #3 guard, he might be good to develop. I am kind of ehhhhhh on him though.

Banks is so good that Minny was desperate enough to offer Mike James a 4 year deal.

I think that's because Banks indicated he isn't interested in returning to the team...

I think the James 4 year deal was more a product of adding veterans to the team to keep Garnett happy.

Marcus Banks #3 | Point Guard | Minnesota Timberwolves
Roster:
Height: 6-2 Weight: 200
Born: Nov 19, 1981 - Las Vegas, Nevada
College: UNLV
Draft: 2003 - 1st round (13th pick) by the Memphis Grizzlies

Year Team G Min M A Pct M A Pct M A Pct Off Def Tot Ast TO Stl Blk PF PPG
2005-06 MIN 40 30.7 4.7 9.7 47.9 0.4 1.1 36.4 2.3 2.9 77.8 0.5 2.4 2.9 4.7 2.4 1.2 0.3 3.1 12.0
Career 220 18.3 2.3 5.4 42.7 0.3 1.0 33.7 1.5 2.0 76.6 0.4 1.4 1.8 2.5 1.5 0.9 0.2 2.2 6.5

I like him. He's a 24yr old PG who can defend well and on offense, can take it to the basket or shoot the 3. He could be a nice rotation guy with Devin, especially when JeT plays the 2-guard.

Two promising, lightning quick, young, explosive PG's are better than one. I'd love to have him...if we couldn't get Jeffries.

Banks would be a great backup PG, how much will he cost us though?

Who is a valid option as 3rd PG?

I doubt Banks wants to go from Starter to 3rd string if the money is equal. We would rather have a real veteran anyway...but who? Atkins also will not want to be 3rd string. DA may have to come back even though he is not much help if needed.

If JET's primarily going to play 2 next year (which remains to be seen, I know)...he could still get 20-30 minutes on most nights.
