Default 2 Part trade that Puts Dallas over the Hump

Dallas trades

Keith Van Horn
Marquis Daniels
DJ Mbenga

Minnesota trades

Wally Szczerbiak
Michael Olowakandi
Sam Cassell

Minnesota does it to rid themselves of the headache known as Sam Cassell. They would also get a couple million dollars in cap relief while also getting rid of Wally's contract.

Dallas does it to set up their next trade, which is:

Dallas trades

Jerry Stackhouse
Jason Terry

Boston trades

Paul Pierce
Marcus Banks

Boston does it to gain a little bit more depth. Also Terry's contract expires next year, and Stackhouse's the year after.

Dallas does it to get a star to play next to Dirk.

Dallas lineup:

Cassell/Harris/Banks
Pierce/Finley
Howard/Szczerbiak
Dirk/resign henderson or FA
Dampier/Olowakandi

Man, Wally is an all-star player, Minnesota would be insane to do that trade. Sam only has 1 year left and Spreewell’s contract already expired.

The Boston trade is much more interesting but I think we need to add future 1st round pick. My concern is that Ainge want to get a superstar that can sell ticket. I hope he can be interested in Stack and JT.

I would just do the second one if Paul Pierce was available. We could get a back-up point via free-agency.

No, any trade involving the Candi-man is out of the question!

I would think we could find a veteran PG in free agency without having to taking on Wally and his 4 years $46,000,000 contract.

Unfortunate how pieces around KG are trash now. Kinda feel bad for the one-hit one-wonder (advanced passed the 1st round only once) guy.
