Bulls - Mavs
Just a thought. Don't know if it has much of anything to it.
Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Jerry Stackhouse
6-6 SG from North Carolina
13.0 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.9 apg in 27.7 minutes
Marquis Daniels
6-6 SG from Auburn
10.2 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 2.8 apg in 28.4 minutes
Incoming
Tyson Chandler
7-1 C from Dominguez (HS)
5.3 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.0 apg in 26.9 minutes
Ben Gordon
6-3 SG from Connecticut
16.9 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 3.0 apg in 31.1 minutes
Bulls get the big guards they were looking for. Get instant offense off the bench with Stackhouse and a mentally tough player who should fit in well with Skiles. The Mavs get the uber talented Chandler with a tough contract, but who could blossom in the right role. They also get someone capable of matching up with Amare come playoff time. The Mavs trade Daniels locked in at a reasonable contract for the next 4 years for Gordon who may be up for a big contract in 2. Gordon takes Stack's role coming off the bench and becomes instant offense for the Mavs.
Mavs may need to massage this deal and throw in a #1 or #2 pick, but overall I think this works out nicely for both teams.

That would be awesome, I think they could get more for Tyson and Ben though. Gordon is one of my favorite players though so I would freak out if we got him.

That would be badass for the mavs but fluid is right, I think Chicago can get WAY better than Q and Stack for those guys.

Well.. I wasn't trying to say it was a terrible trade or anything, if stack was a lot younger it would be perfect. If we end up getting Mike James, would anyone do this for Quis/Harris?

Yeah, this is by far my favorite proposed trade. I am a huge fan of Daniels, and would prefer to part with Stack, but if this deal came along I would glady take it.

I would love it if we did this. I doubt they do this though, they think VERY highly of Ben Gordon.

Could we throw in Harris and possibly something else for Hinrich?

You'd have to throw in two #1's and Devin Harris.

For Gordan and Tyson? or for all 3?
Quis, Stack, two #1s, and Harris seem steep for just the two of them.

Quis probably has negative trade value. Stackhouse has very minimal value, if only because he is expiring. They aren't gonna give Chandler and Gordon away for that!
It's a good idea in theory. But Chandler and Gordon are priced WAY higher than Stack and Daniels.

We only think of Quis as negative because we're paying him so much for doing nothing.
If he was getting his+stacks playing time, and being as productive as we know he's capable of, he would be well worth his contract. Maybe the other GMs understand that.

Yeah Chandler is going to be traded to the Hornets, and they aren't going to give up Gordon. Interesting scenario though.

Btw, the Bulls and Hornets are going to be very solid teams next year.

I think ben gordon is one of the ten most overrated players in the nba but you have to do that.
