Darn, our defense is getting torn to shreds. But at least Daunte Culpepper is racking up some major points for my fantasy team in the process.

nice screen to Richie Anderson for 18 yards....looks like between Jones/Lee/Anderson/George they may have a decent running game.

They're getting the defensive stops they need... we aren't stopping anyone. The penalties are beginning to really hurt.

Another great effort by Bryant to push forward for a first down. This has been a fine afternoon for Antonio Bryant.

Why aren't we running Rashard Lee?
We deserve to lose this game.

Things just got ugly in a hurry. Just a few minutes ago, we were driving to cut the lead to 4. One fumble and a huge touchdown catch later, we are down by 18.

RE:cows vs vikings0 Gameday Thread
Darren Woodson - im so sorry. For years i have taken you for granted. You came into our midst during the renaissance of Dallas Cowboy football. Those were truly great times - the dynasty years. Then came Chan Gailey and Dave Campo. The beloved Boys fell off, yet you remained the anchor in an ever deteriorating defensive secondary.
How could i have been so ignorant? - you can't be with us forever. BUT why, Why is it that Dante Culpepper can pick us apart? Why is it that won't you be back until October? WHY, WHY must we search for your replacement? Tony Dixon is not fit to carry your jockstrap. PLEASE, please tell me why we must part.
Where have you gone Darren Woodson? - oh how I miss my Woody.

And this game started out so promising too...
Oh well. At least football season is up & running. And there were lots of positives in this game. The offense looked pretty good. Keyshawn & Rashard Lee & AB & Vinny. Very worried about the D though...

Minny is a strong team. Cowboys had too many penalties though. I don't understand the reason why the Cowboys didn't run more behing Larry and Flozell. There's always next week.

I'm a Packers fan.. but I'm really rooting for Vinny to have a strong season this year. I really appreciate old vets going the distance on craftiness and grit despite dimished physical skills.
I hope that didn't come off as a knock on Vinny.. I'm really digging him as Dallas' starting QB this year.

one decent cornerback would've made the diff in this game..hell just having darren woodson might've made the difference
minnesota isn't that good..yea they can put up points but they aren't going to stop anyone..dallas offense was marching up and down the field today
minnesota looks like the nfc's version of kansas city...they'll fizzle out again in the second half of the year and miss the playoffs
also, how is big bill going to manage the running game? rashard lee looked pretty explosive out there and eddie george started off well but ended up with his usual 3 yards/carry
dallas looks awful though ..i just hope they finish with a winning record..playoffs look like a pipe dream seeing how washington and philly played today

vinny looks good out there...i don't know what sort of physical skills he had in the first place to have diminished..but his passing looks as good as it was with the jets a few years ago....i don't think age is a factor for him..he's as good throwing the ball as some of the guys 10 years younger than him

Not at all pooh. Dallas fans are so happy that we have a decent quarterback with a brain that we are all giddy. This game was lost on the defensive side, but Vinny looked great. The offense could have punched it in more, but all in all I liked what I saw from Vinny. It is so refreshing to be bitching about defense and not about the stupid play the lame spare quarterback made that lost the game.
This one was all about the corners. Ugh.

You would think that the fact that Quincy is gone from this team his detractors would let it go. Apparently that thinking is wrong.
You win!!!! Congratulations!!!!! WOW!!!!!! How proud you must be!!!!!!
He's gone. Let it go.

And those same detractors are the ones saying I should let it go when I have. Why are we even discussing a backup qb for the Jets in the Cowboys vs Vikings gameday thread? Soon as you think the discussion of Quincy is over some tries to bring it up again. Do like U2 said and just let it go.
BTW, nice guess on the score of the game. Too bad it came true however.

RE:cows vs vikings0 Gameday Thread
I thought yesterday Vinny had a nice game. I wish it could've resulted in more points but nice overall game. I liked what I saw from Rashard Lee. The more I see him the more I get the impression that the Eddie George signing was more of Jerry's idea and the reports of Parcells not wanting him are true. Everyone knows Parcells likes to work with what he has sort of like he did yesterday at the corner position but he failed in that regard. I thought the recievers were great yesterday and it looks like Keyshawn hasn't lost a step. Looks like Bryant has progressed very well during this offseason as well. I was dissapointed with the pass rush yesterday. Was Wiley even out there?
