The UTA Women's team earned a #13 seed and will play this Saturday against Texas Tech in Reunion Arena .....

This is the first trip to the NCAA Tournament for any Maverick Team .....

Seriously though.....congrats to UTA. I wish they hadn't drawn another Texas team but they should be proud to be in the big show. Well done UTA!

Yeah, but it really came down to Tech or UT .... since they are hosting the Dallas Regional ..... I would take Tech EVERY time ...... I was hoping to get some far away team so we could have at least an ounce of home court advantage, but Tech has some of the best fans for Women's Basketball in the nation .... and you know Erin Grant is going to have a very solid contingent out there .......

It's a shame they didn't get sent out of that region. I'm not sure as a 15 seed that it would have mattered much, but at least they could have escaped the Texas teams, which to be quite frank, are the best in women's basketball as a whole.
