Well it's the time of the year for New Year's resolutions. I thought about starting a thread where we can list some New Year's resolutions for the Mavs players, coaches, management, and owner. Here are some of mine:

For Nellie:
1. I will play Shawn Bradley when healthy.
2. I will focus more on defense.
3. I will get more shots for Dirk.

For Cuban:
1. I will not get played this summer in FA.

For Donnie:
1. I will find another big man who can play center.

For Walker:
1. I will shoot less 3's.
2. I will learn to shoot FT's.

For Dirk:
1. I will get my ankles well.
2. I will play MVP level basketball.

For Finley: I will continue to lead this team despite trade rumors and less touches...I am a real man, I will continue to play better defense, while at the same time bring along Josh Howard to replace me some day...

Nash: I will either cut my hair or opt for the Fortson top-of-the-head ponytail.

Dirk: I will grow the shaggy beard again.

J. Howard: I will learn to shoot the behind-the-head hitch shot, that was the principal offensive weapon of my namesake and predecessor J. Howard, #5.

Donnie: I will sign 7-6 Slavko Vranes as a New Year's gift to Mavericks' fans and to the city of Dallas.

Mark Cuban: I will put an end to those scurrilous Sam Smith spawned rumors that I pursued Pat Riley this offseason, and thus reasure Mavs fans that I am still sane.

Jamison: I will not blow defensive assignments, I will create my own shots, and maybe use the backboard once in a while.

Tony Delk: I will surgically remove my right knee and give it to Eddie Najera, who might make some use of it.

Eddie Najera: I will accept Tony's generous donation of his right knee, have it surgically transplanted into my leg, and then regain my form as the hustling, whirling dervish I once was.

Jon Steffansson: I will go to Mark Cuban and request to be cut so that the Mavericks can sign Slavko Vranes.

Jamison: I will learn to dunk the ball when i am directly under the basket

Dirk: Keep shooting that hook shot. We have only seen it twice. Pratice makes perfect after all, the hook shot is undefendable.
Learn shoot your free throws without so much pressure on your knees and ankles.
Nash: Haircut and stay healthy.
Finley: Play solid defense. And shoot when your open.
Walker: Keep your passing under control and don't take bad shots.
Jamison: D it up. You have the athletic ability to do it. Lets see it.
Cuban and Donnie: No more trades give this team time to learn to play as a unit. Their are no forces in the paint.
Bradley: Go up strong with your shot.
Nellie: Stick with the seven man rotation.

Actually, the way Dirk shoots freethrows is GOOD for you're knees and ankles, that's purposely how he shoots them, legs inward, Holger thaught him that. Now this is interesting, Because a friend of mine thought just like you, I shoot ft's JUST like Dirk, he kept telling me it was bad for my legs, i told him he was wrong. So we settled it, he went to his doctor, and he told him just like I told him, that its actually BETTER better for you're legs.
