"Sterling-lite" is exactly what I thought too.

@toddarcher: Gene Steratore overturned Dez Bryant’s fourth-down catch in the playoff game against the Green Bay Packers in 2014. With 14:29 left in the fourth quarter against Oakland, Steratore said Seth Roberts’ 26-yard catch stands. Oh what the Cowboys would have given for that ruling in 2014.

6 weeks and Zeke looks like that... Randy Gregory must look like Mr. Universe now!

We deserve to lose. Start the game off and every run play Dez is off the field, that's not tipping your hand at all or anything. Then he throws a fit for a while and talks to anyone around him. Finally catches a ball and fumbles it. Then he catches another pass and basically talks trash for a minute to 5 seattle defenders. And so of course Dak makes a poor throw but Dez gets 2 hands on a ball and it flies up and gets picked. Then we have the ball at the 2 and we outsmart ourselves and don't give it to the best player on the team. This team....... Good grief I wish we would clean house with the staff. Sick of seeing Garrett clapping on the sidelines like a little league coach.

Glad we lost, just makes our pick that much better... I doubt Garrett gets the boot, but it's time to draft a WR1 and send Dez packing.

Calvin Ridley. Please. I'm a homer but I absolutely want Christian Kirk also. Give me both.

@jonmachota: Jerry Jones talking about Jason Garrett on @1053thefan: "It's not in the Cowboys' best interest right now to be considering a coaching change."

He just has some biased, unwarranted love affair with Garrett. Shame because I never understood the choice from the beginning.

Jerry won't fire him anytime soon. Cowboys will remain competitive enough to keep him around and Jerry wants it that way because Jason is a yes man, a company man. Jerry gets to do whatever he wants with Jason there. If He did fire Jason he'd just hire the next yes man.

The Cowboys will be mediocre until Jerry dies.

@toddarcher: With their 6-0 win against the Eagles, the Cowboys posted their first shutout since the 2009 season finale against Philadelphia. Those Cowboys finished 11-5 and won a playoff game. These Cowboys finished 9-7 and will miss the playoffs. With the win Jason Garrett avoided his fourth 8-8 finish in seven seasons as Cowboys coach.

@toddarcher: With the season complete, what have the 9-7 Cowboys learned? “If you don’t win close games, if you don’t make plays, all of a sudden you can become an average football team,” linebacker Sean lee said. “Winning can be fragile. And you have to have great offseasons. We have to have all of our guys and we’ve got to play the right way through the entire season. if we do that, we are a team that can compete for a championship.”

Change likely coming to Cowboys coaching staff, but how much?
http://www.espn.com/blog/dallas-cowb...f-but-how-high

Short answer: not enough.

The Browns could be a very interesting team the next few years if they could develop a QB.

@toddarcher: Quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson will not return to the team in 2018. His contract is set to expire soon. He had been with the Cowboys since 2007 and helped in the development of Tony Romo and Dak Prescott.

@toddarcher: Multiple sources say Rich Bisaccia will be allowed to leave the Cowboys, most likely to join Jon Gruden in Oakland. In addition to Wade Wilson not returning, secondary coach Joe Baker also will not be back. There is also questions about the future of offensive line coach Frank Pollack with the team.

@SportsSturm: Lots of new coaches coming and going for the Cowboys - except the Big 3. Which are the only 3 spots that bring a significant change.

@terrellowens: Same issue I had with Garrett when he felt I threw him under the bus after we went 13-3 the year before & we needed to change our plays, teams game planned Dak after his 1st year but Garrett doesn’t know how to make adjustments. Can’t keep running same plays over & over & overTerrell Owens added,

I hate that the Eagles won, but I love that the Patriots lost.

@toddarcher: The Cowboys have been awarded four compensatory picks for the upcoming draft with a fourth-round, two fifth-round and sixth-round picks. They now have 10 selections in Rounds 1-7 in the NFL draft.

Good. We have actually drafted really well for a while now. Especially the later rounds.

@Marcus_Mosher: The Cowboys are now the only team that hasn't signed a free agent yet.

@Rapsheet- Full terms: The #Raiders traded FB Jamize Olawale and a 6th round pick in exchange for the #Cowboys 5th rounder. … Swapping late-round selections.

Cowboys sign Hurns. I really love the signing. I hope Twill is gone personally but I haven't seen his dead cap if he were to be gone. They prolly keep everyone and wait to maybe make a cut next year I bet.

Rumor is 12m over 2 years which is a great price imo.
