Just Heard Coop on ESPN
Cooperstein said that Mavs had a deal with Seattle to trade Jamison + and take back Rashard and another player. Mavs wanted James, Seattle insisted on Booth. At an impasse Mavs then did the deal with the Wiz.
Just think, if true, we could have finally had Rashard Lewis after, what, 3 years? |

That would have been a good deal for Dallas as well, but I think this will end up working out better for them.

I that report is true it's just one more indication that the Mavs are agressively targeting expiring contracts.

James has an expiring contract, Booth does not.
