Hahaha! I couldn't help but wonder what McNabb was thinking as he was kneeling on the sideline during the kick, JUST LIKE LAST WEEK!

And that was a VERY aesthetically pleasing kick.
I'm sorry, 5-0, you are INSANE if you want LT under center rather than Vick. Yes, it IS crazy to think about.

The big thing about this week is that three NFC East teams are going to lose, and one win. God, let it be us!

It was a joke mostly, yes i would definitely take vick.
How does vick not take more crap than he does though? He is the highest paid player in the nfl and he doesnt get that much crap and hes never that good. At least Arod is good in the regular season...

Is he really the highest-paid player in the NFL? I did not know that.
But even so, it's not that meaningful a stat. I'm sure the next guys are pretty close. And it's a case of Atlanta needing to keep him and being willing to pay the price.
It's not what you are worth, it's what someone is willing to pay. As we know all too well when it comes to basketball.
Vick has probably been pretty good, on the whole. He's not the only quarterback this side of Manning to throw a stinker out there on occasion. But games like today remind you of his potential. ESPECIALLY since he did it with his arm and not his legs.
He's a singular talent, that's for sure.

Guess ---> He increases the Falcons' TV ratings and sells a lot of tickets & merchandise?
I don't know, but people seem to like Michael Vick. A-Rod, well, not so much.

Vick's never that good? Did you watch him pick apart the steelers today? And keep in mind that one of his interceptions was flat out Dunn's fault since he let it go through his hands and it ended up getting picked off. Vick is their offense, plain and simple.

This was the best game of a 6 year career though. You ready to wait a few more years for another one? he doesnt have games like this is the problem. He has had A game like this in his entire career. As for him being a singular talent, vince is a better passer and a better runner....

Most quarterbacks have a pretty long learning curve. I certainly don't think Vick could never do the same again. And even when he does less, he still does more with his legs than anyone else does.
Vince Young CERTAINLY included. I love Vince and all, but he's no Michael Vick.

Well said.
Count me in the camp of people who think you can't win a championship with QBs like that. I'll eat my words if they do, and gladly. But they have to prove it.

Oh really now? I am a huge vince fan, we all know that. However since Vince hasnt played enough NFL games to make a comparison there, so for now all i can go by is their college numbers and what I see. Vince was literally twice the runner Vick was in college. Vick is a little faster but its not a huge difference(Vick runs a 4.3 something and Vince runs a 4.4 something) Vick can make more people completely miss him than vince but if you can get your hands on him hes going down. Vince on the other hand can make people miss too but cant be arm tackled(no not even in the nfl). Overall, considering how much better Vince was as a runner in college, I expect him to be better in the nfl as well.

I don't want to knock Vince. But I don't see him being the same kind of RB that Vick is. I'll need to see Vince get some 100-yard rushing games like Vick has been pulling off.
But will Vince ever? Will his team ever want to do that with him? See, that's not clear. Obviously the Falcons didn't want Vick running wild today, against that Steelers front. So what did he do? He threw for four scores.
He threw for four scores, with Jenkins and Alge Crumpler. It's not like he had Smith or Harrison or Johnson or Owens to throw to.
You gots to give my boy Vick some love!

As much as I love Vince, I have to say that you can't compare their college careers since Vick left as a sophmore. Here's a bio of Vick's college career:
Quote:
One of the most exciting athletes to ever play college football. Applied for early entry into NFL draft (as a redshirt sophomore) after two seasons as Virginia Tech’s starter and one appearance in National Championship Game. Led the Hokies into the National spotlight for two seasons and carried the school (on his arm and legs) to compete in the National Championship Game in his first season as a college starting quarterback in 1999. Captured the first-ever Archie Griffin Award as college football Player of the Year as a redshirt freshman that season when he led the nation in passing efficiency at 180.37, the second-highest total ever, and guided the Hokies to a perfect 11-0 regular season record. Set an NCAA record for a freshman in the process and established single-season school records for highest yards passing per completion (20.4), per attempt (12.1), highest completion % (59.2) and most yards per play (9.3). Appeared in 10 games, completing 90 of 152 passes for 1,840 yards with 12 touchdowns, and rushed 108 times for 585 yards with eight more scores. Averaged 242.5 yards of offense per game. His incredible performance in the Sugar Bowl vs. Florida State for the National Championship included completing 15 of 29 pass attempts for 225 yards with a 49 yard touchdown pass, as well as gaining 97 yards on 23 carries with a three yard score, to total 322 yards of offense in almost single-handidly engineering an upset before falling, 46-29. Finished third in the balloting for the coveted Heisman Trophy (matching the highest finish ever by a freshman) while coming away with the hardware for Big East Conference Offensive and Rookie of the Year and finished runner-up in voting for the Associated Press Player of the Year. Became the first player in Division I history to win a league’s Player of the Year Award in the same season he won Rookie of the Year. As a sophomore in 2000, he completed 87 of 161 passes for 1,234 yards with eight touchdowns while carrying 104 times for 607 yards. Finished his career with a 20-1 record as starter at Virginia Tech.

No, but I'm sure the Titans are hoping that he's better than Vick. If I were a Falcons fan, I'd consider Vick only a so-so pick at this point in his career.

Thanks for reminding us, #1MavsFan. One only wonders what Vick would have done with another couple years in school.

I wouldn't say "so-so" since I'm sure every Falcons fan would say they'd pick him again if they had the chance. Vick showed off his incredible ability when he shook of Polamalu (sp) in the 2nd half on 3rd and 10 than threw a perfect pass to Crumpler on the run for a long completion.

He has done this ONCE in 6 freakin years guys and yes it was a so-so pick at best with LT on the board. Vick rushed for 1202 yards in his 2 years. Vince rushed for over 900 in each of his 3 seasons. Vinces worst rushing season was considerably better than vicks best. Vince will be a better player than Vick and it wont be that close.
Im glad he had a good game but good lord, this was his best game of his life. Lets not act like he does this on a weekly basis. NFL career wise, vince hasnt done enough to be compared to anyone yet but College wise, Vince was WITHOUT QUESTION ALOT better than Vick was. Besides, its not like Vince stayed all four years either....

Well, one of my older brothers is a die hard Falcons fan and he can't stand Vick. I liked the Falcons 'ok' until Vick got there..

I didn't know that LT was on the board when Atlanta picked. But still, as Seifert would say, 1200 yards in two years is "pretty good."
I hope Vince becomes the stud of studs. But don't you recognize that he will have to become a major stud to enter this conversation? And that, for that matter, he was taken top-three himself?

he wont have to be a major stud to be compared with vick... As for their pro careers theirs no comparison yet. I mean vince just hasnt played enough games to be compared to anyone. But Collegewise which is the comparison i was making Its an insult to vince to compare the two. Vince rushed for 3200 yards in 3 years and Vick rushed for 1200 in 2. Theres a huge difference running there and when you throw in how much better vince threw/throws the ball its not close at all. Vince was the better college player and will be the better pro.

If he is, it's not necessarily demeaning to Vick.
But Young brings his own questionmarks when it comes to throwing the ball. Let's see him rip off a four-TD game with NO receivers, and then we'll talk.

he has 3 first round receivers, the reason everyone assumes his receivers suck is because he cant throw.

His only good option is Crumpler. Jenkins and White are very poor receivers.
