This should be a tough game but I'm hopeful for a victory. I thought that a 2-2 record on this four game road trip would be acceptable, after all these are playoff caliber teams we've been playing since the All-Star game.

Yes it will be a tough game. But we better do more than .500 against playoff calibre teams if we expect to go anywhere this year.

.500 against playoff caliber teams on the road is an admirable goal.

I see us struggling again. Suns play a similar style of game and we seem to always strugle with teams like that.
Mavs 102
Suns 113
Hope I'm wrong.

X-factor here is the press conference the Suns have called. They're probably going to fire Skiles, and teams always tend to play well in the first game after a coach has been axed. Mavs still have a very good chance to win, but could be a struggle...

Dirk got 3 fouls... 2 were **not** his fault.
And we still can't stop anyone.

Murph, that's what I mean. He was trying to avoid the foul, but couldn't help getting involved under the rim.

Especially their defense. After giving up 27 points in 12 minutes.
They have given up 5 points in 7 minutes.

What an amazing first half. Since being down by 15, the mavs went on a 43-13 run. Good golly, miss molly.

What the hell has gotten into Newman?
Hope Griffin is ok, especially with Buckner already out.
Go Mavs!

Can someone explain to me how Dirk does not have a shot in the 4th quarter?

Good win for the Mavs!
From the boxscore, it looks like everyone chipped in something.
Any word on Griffin?

Supposedly Griffin was kneed in the "upper thigh" by Najera. He should be OK.

bayliss, on an individual game basis, i wouldn't have a problem with it because the mavs were up and other people were hitting.
However, since he is the best offensive player on the team and this is something that has happened on a regular basis throughout the past couple years..it concerns me.
I guess it is just misguided offense and a lack of offensive identity at times....other times, it's a well oiled machine..
but how can the best offensive player on the team get over looked and not get any shots.. especially when he's hot?
it doesn't make sense.
there was a play or two where finley forced up bad shots that kinda pissed me off...dirk spotting up for three and fin sees him..but forces up a bad shot...

Griffin was just kneed by Najera. He'll be ok.
Great win for the good guys. Didn't look to good at the start but a 30 point 2nd quarter swing was the difference.
Newman played GREAT .

it simply makes no sense for him to have only 15 shots in a game.. especially when he is shooting the ball well
why does fin have 20 when he's cold? it's total b.s.

Fin got his shots because the Mavs are trying to force him back on track.
Dirk had his shots limited because of early foul trouble.

What I meant about Dirk was this. He got in early foul trouble and missed the big comeback. By the time Dirk came back in the offense was already flowing to other players - like Newman. Dirk did not force himself into the flow, he's too unselfish.
