RE:Google Earth
Anyone have an idea about how recent these images are? I would think it would be live, but that's certainly not the case...

RE: Google Earth
They say the images are from within the last three years, but they are steadily updating.
Cool image of the funny looking land man, Twelli. I guess I could cheat and use the coordinates to find out where it is. But other than that, no clue!

I can't... it's too blurry. Is there any way to sharpen up the images?
I'm guessing the sharpness depends on the city. Pittsburgh is showing up fine. Indiana, PA is showing up like crap.

RE:Google Earth
deep in the Sahara desert I found this
I have no clue, probably WMDs of some kind or some alien crap (Sike hasn't been around for a while, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's up to something...)

Did you see that huge thing burning next to it though? It looks like an oil well?
Its not on the picture that you showed but its just to the right of it.

RE:Google Earth
The Giza Pyramids in Egypt
Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Santa Ynez Valley, California.
That ship in the bottom left corner when I zoomed in on it was actually a huge cargo ship. I zoomed out so you can see the very long and nasty trail of pollution it has left behind in the water. That picture is over a part of New Zealand.
WTF? It looks like that private plane is making an emergency landing on the highway!. This picture is over I-95 in Dale City, Virginia

RE:Google Earth
They look like crop circles if you zoom in more, you can even see what looks like a farm.
Anyone know how to switch it to night time view? How is it that everywhere is daytime?

The images are not realtime, and I am sure they only include daytime images. But it would be cool to have a night-time option over populated areas (like downtown of major cities).
