The most recent news I've heard is that Z was off the block, and even if he weren't, that Mark wasn't overly interested.
And as for Walker, I don't know what else people could expect from him lately. He's really been playing great. Sure, he isn't perfect, but I've been thrilled with him lately.

In short, I don't think I would do this trade - even if it is a legit rumor.

I still think that this team needs to trade Walker. Yes he's played much better lately, but is still shooting too much. I just think that Walker is a luxary that we don't need and prevents us from playing players with skills we do. As much as he adds with passing, he takes away with bad shots. His rebounding is nice, but he hurts us on D.

All that said, I think with the way he's playing that we can and should get much better than Big Z for Walker. So I'd nix the trade.

I agree that Walker isnt going anywhere. If this were a legit source we would have known about this trade rumor already. Until one can provide that then I will continue to be objective towards what I hear.

Walker is really playing great right now. I'm beginning to believe more and more that our best bet for success is to leave the team as is and hunt for inside help in the offseason. If we dont win it all this year then perhaps the addition of Ostertag in the offseason will provide us with that missing aspect for next season, not to mention that by that time our team will most certianly be firing on all cylinders considering the time they will havehad to play with eachother.

I agree unless its for a future type center aka eddy curry or a guy like chris bosh. But even then you risk a big step back and from what Ive seen this team is capable of big things regardless of a force in the middle.

Walker for Z makes absolutely ZERO sense for us AT THIS POINT... Maybe 8-10 games back, but doing something like this now would assure us either a lottery pick or a first-round exit.

GS is full of crap on this one. He provided no sources and there are sources within the Cleveland club that say he is not on the table right now. Until there is even a Vecsey quote Im going to have to burn this thread to ashes.

well we arent touching Z. So for us there might as well be a "No tocar mi Ilgauskas" sign on the door. We are not trading Nowitzki and Nellie will not trade Walker for Z.

What is with the fascination with this guy. He doesn't even see time at the end of the 4th quarter he is big sure but he doesn't address a need of the team. Hes more of a bandaid, and I think Walker plays like a bigger defender then Big Z.

And Dan I agree no one is untouchable. If we could get Duncan for Dirk Id do it in a heartbeat.

If Walker continues to play well and within the TEAM concept all season long and playoffs, I see no reason why he should be dealt.
