Default Terry to sign Jazz Offer Sheet

Jazz: Terry to sign offer sheet

by Fanball Staff - Fanball.com

News

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Hawks' restricted free agent Jason Terry is prepared to sign an offer sheet with the Jazz. Terry's agent would not reveal the terms, but the SLT believes it to be in six-year, $55 million range. The Hawks, who have yet to make a long-term offer to Terry, would have 15 days to match the offer. The Jazz have $21 million to spend, but have failed in their attempts to land free agents like Andre Miller, Gilbert Arenas, and Brad Miller. Corey Maggette signed their offer sheet two weeks ago, but the Clippers have until Thursday morning to match it, and they are expected to do so.

Views

Getting Terry would salvage an otherwise miserable offseason for the Jazz, who as of yet have nothing to show for losing John Stockton and Karl Malone. How many games do you think they can win with Matt Harpring shooting 25 times a game?

Wouldn't them signing Terry defeat the purpose of signing Maggette?

They need a point guard, and some Centers.

I hold her close until she's gone. I'll never know what she was running from. I'll cash her check in the morning.

Well, this Lopez guy (if healthy) and Terry could share some minutes at the point ... would not be their weakest position.
