Marc Gasol is going on 32 coming off injury that plagued him this season. Who knows how a big man like him can recover. So age is really adding up in Memphis. Having parsons would just add to them gambling on his health.

And that squad wouldn't rebound to save its life much like last year's Mavs. They should remind Conley of that...

Jesus its going to blow up in our face. Cuban better face the music and realize we MIGHT have to go max on Parsons. As less and less I want that to happen...

He's the only solid PG on the market. But yeah his stat sheet wont blow you away.

There's still Marvin Williams who can be a solid role player. I'm hearing we should tell Wes to talk to his friend Batum too.

@ESPNSteinLine: You can scratch "might." Sources say Memphis is a confirmed suitor for Chandler Parsons in addition to its top priority: Keeping Mike Conley

Marvin could supposedly net 18m per year. So sure he's an option, but he wont be any less expensive.

I'll be fine with just Whiteside and then on to the next tier if need be. Missing out on both him and Conley wouldn't be good...

So say we do manage to get Whiteside. How much does that improve our odds of getting Conley?

Landing Whiteside increases our chances of luring pretty much anyone we have our eye on.

Conley likely to stay to play with him.

The Mavs, sources say, are meeting with Mike Conley in Dallas right now, still trying to pry him from Memphis and new prize Chandler Parsons
What a fucking time waste...Conley wanting a free meal or what? Conley was WITH in the room when the Memphis made the pitch to Parsons. So why the fuck is he still meeting with Dallas?

Using Cuban for leverage
Cuban fancies himself a Littlefinger, but he's basically what we'd get if Hodor tried to enter the game for King.

@ESPNSteinLine: Since Mike Conley co-chaired Memphis' Chandler Parsons recruiting along with J.B. Bickerstaff, you can safely assume Conley is staying there

Nah, Littlefinger sounds about right -- that dude got pwned by a little girl in the last episode.

Cuban prolly insisted on having the meeting. He prolly spent tons of man hours making a cartoon for him to watch. No reason to have a perfectly good animation wasted.

He paid that animator tens of dollars. I bet if he ran a team of elementary school students, he'd absolutely clean up.

@espn_macmahon: The Grizzlies will give point guard Mike Conley a full five-year max offer, a source told ESPN. Memphis can pay Conley $153 million over five years, while the Mavs and other teams can offer $114 million over four years.

@edthesportsfan: Per Wiki, Mike Conley’s new deal ($30.6M/year) makes him the 9th highest paid athlete in sports on a per year basis.

How crappy would it be to know Conley was in on recruiting Parsons and you still have to go into a one-hour meeting and show a s$&ty cartoon to a grown man who wants nothing to do with what you are selling. That is what it's like to be a Mavs fan.
