If the Lakers win the lottery, then AD is a Laker five minutes later and the Pelicans are highfiving themselves

If the Lakers somehow landed Zion, obviously they’d trade him for AD... But if I’m their GM, I do the SMART thing and trade a past-his-prime LeBron for a king’s ransom and build a dynasty around Zion, Kuzma, etc. I’m just not convinced that LeBron/Davis get any traction in the West before LeBron’s game starts to drop off.

Does Kyrie not think Boston has what it takes to win it? I feel like that team is pretty set to compete for the next 3-5 years. They have all those draft picks to dangle as trade bait, too.

Nikola Jokic turns 24 today as one of the NBA’s most unique superstars.
This season:
- More points than Kyrie
- More assists than Harden
- More rebounds than AD
- More steals than Giannis
- More triple-doubles than anyone but Russ

Good for him. Always liked the kid.
I know he was the victim of our trades and direction. Didn't think he had a lot of chance here. We already got some good forwards and if we're going to spend money and give him a spot, we were going to shoot for a star in Kostas vs. developing a decent player in Spalding, as unlikely as they are to pan out.

I take joy in LeBron falling further and further from the playoffs and then blaming others.
His "leadership" is bullying teams into getting his way with personnel and coaching and blaming others.

I complain about our guys defense and I've made fun of Harden's defense for years, but my God, Lebron's defense is absolutely atrocious in recent years and especially this year. It was ridiculous when he left a shooter 15 feet wide open, they hit the 3, then he looked at his teammates like it was on them.

I take joy but i fear the Lakers luck into their 1-2% chance for Zion and everything is shiny and golden again next season...

I wanted Mitch over Brunson, especially with DSJ on the roster.

Faried back to a zero sum role with Capela back. Be interesting to see if that continues.

Holy crap, I just noticed the Suns have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs already... And I don't even know how long ago that happened, since I haven't really checked the standings since before the ASB.

I don't believe it.
Booker has that allstar contract and they have the best rookie in the draft and a second lottery player. They are a 60 win team with that roster.

49 points by Trae, my goodness. He's certainly making the ROY race interesting again if he keeps his recent streak up. Is that some sort of rookie record mabye?

Luka locked up ROY in January. Trae is starting to show signs that he can ball though.

I looked up some stats because people started raving over Trae's Feb stat as "monster month". Realized Luka managed to quietly put up even better or at least comparable (more pts, fewer assists) ones. Crazy that Young can almost put up a double double per 36 (24 and 9.9) and still remains the underdog to win ROY.

Brandon Jennings scored 55 in his 7 game as a rookie.

Lakers four games behind with 20 games to go and the Kings still in front of them too....yeah bye bye playoffs.
In other news:
Anthony Davis is the new Dwight Howard and Lebron cant win without tampering his ass off. Davis talking abotu CEO and Power....lol, you have a fucking contract until 2021, maybe get a reality check. And yeah Lebron checking out because probably he thought allready in the last offseason that Davis forcing his way to the Lakers is a done deal. Poor smock.

Since Buddy Hield claimed he would "bet his house" on making the playoffs, the Kings have gone 3-6 and are now 4.5 games out of 8th seed.
Prior to his wager on Feb. 20, the Sacramento Kings were 30-27 and within striking distance of 8th seed.
Now the Kings are falling out of the playoff race and could potentially end the season as the 10th in the West.
Buddy's shooting splits since then: 39.5/32.5/92.7
Interesting move by Buddy as he now inches closer to being homeless.
In other news, the Kings are .500 in mid-March!
