Nash got booed alot in his first season. There was a lot of hype around us getting him from Phoenix, but he couldn't make a shot. Nash told a story about getting booed, looking over to his brother for support, and his brother was laughing at him.

Terrible... Knowing Nash he was not loafing out there. Just like a brother however to bust your balls one second and run through a wall for you the next.

Lamar Odom is not a Maverick.
He may wear the uniform, he may be out on the court, he may take home a check, but this guy is not a Dallas Maverick.

Regardless his comments regarding basketball were always good for argument even if he ended up cussing people out and then ended up being right.. and even if he was wrong it was still a productive argument that led to new ideas.

cad had numerous infractions against so many people. I remember that for about 2 months he'd respond to every one of my posts with offensive sexist slander while sending me repeated harassing PMs that were even more offensive. I don't feel bad for the guy.

I thought this thread was about Lamar Odom's struggles with the Mavs, not Cadbane's struggles with his sociopathy...
Make a new thread if you have to, but let's try to stay on topic (unless Cad is dating a Kardashian?)

It really doesn't affect me if Cadbane is banned. He's been on my ignore list for years.

I thought he was playing better with the Terry/Roddy/Carter/Odom/ Wright(Ian) lineup.
Odom and Dirk just don't work together. Its time to dump that idea

Um Carlisle is lying then. Either one of two things: either he is hurt and can't play or he plays. No in between with the caliber player that Lamar is.
He was benched. Whether the benching lasts remains to be seen.

Reading between the lines in some of Odom's quotes tonight:
Quote:
"From the looks of it, it looks like they're going to have the NBA playoffs. You know what I mean? This team is looking like they're going to play for it all. Hopefully, my time will come to make shots and make plays."
|
When I talk about the Mavericks, I refer to them as "we" and I'm not even on the squad - Odom sounds like he isn't either.

Same here, I still think his allegiance is with another team...

Well, he also writes that he hopes his time will come...so God knows what's going on. Maybe RC should just shake things up and start him against the Rockets. Play Dirk very limited minutes-awful against SA-and play the younger guys more.
At this point, I'm guessing everything has been tried with Lamar. Maybe Dirk's talked to him, Terry and Kidd have probably also tried. He's got to fix himself.

Lamar Odom is a complex individual. I mean just look at the family he married into. Someone has to have a few screws loose to row into those waters.

He also implied that not playing because of a coach's decision further damaged his confidence.
"I mean, a situation like this, do you think it helps or hurts confidence?" Odom said.

Man he's such a baby.

Boy, I totally forgot about him.
He came in, sucked, we lost our biggest lead of the night, then we never saw his punk-ass again...

I'm done with him. He should not be playing basketball right now. His mind is completely fizzled after all of his tragedies.

What is the difference between Lamar Odom's play on the court and a big bag of steaming dog poo? Well, one stinks to high heaven and you just can't get that stench to go away. And the other is poo.

Notice how he was also not standing while the rest of the team was during the final seconds of the game.
Getting him off this team is addition by subtraction. I don't care if Yi is the other option, the level of play simply can't get any worse.
The season is in the stretch run, and I honestly can't think of one instance where I remember Odom playing well. Can anyone else? It's absurd how bad he's been.

The 2nd games against the Jazz when the Mavs beat them w/o Kidd, Dirk, or West. He played a good half against the Suns a couple of weeks ago.. The last Denver game he was solid. Outside of those 3 games, that's it. He has been way more negative than positive.

Last night was a DNP, and tonight he played minutes that are only available because of this schedule. Those minutes will not be available in the playoffs.
He's terrified to shoot and can't make anything happen offensively. So depressing.
