Default Who makes the 15-man roster: a poll

With the Mavs bringing in 19 players to camp, who will make the cut? You may vote multiple times. Only two may make the final roster.

Jenkins and Ndour. With Matthews possibly out for the start of the season we're gonna need a SG. Jenkins shot 40% from three last season, has some NBA experience but is still just 24 yrs old. Then Ndour probably had the best summer league out of the rest of the guys. And I believe we gave him more money than those other guys, so that tells you we already value him more. Looks like this will be the 15 we roll with unless Felton gets traded or waived...

PG: Deron Williams / JJ Barea / Raymond Felton
SG: Wesley Matthews / Devin Harris / John Jenkins
SF: Chandler Parsons / Justin Anderson / Jeremy Evans
PF: Dirk Nowitzki / Charlie Villanueva / Maurice Ndour
C: Zaza Pachulia / Dwight Powell / Samuel Dalembert

1) Powell isn't considered a center by Rick. Fish had a quote from Rick that called him a "stretch four"

2) That said, you don't think we need a third center or do you think we'll play some guys out of position (Charlie/Dirk/Powell?). I agree that N'Dour is probably the highest potential guy, but at 6'9" he's definitely more of a combo-forward who can occasionally play center when playing speed ball, but probably only a few minutes of that.

I voted Jenkins + Mejiri. Voting for Mejiri instead of Ndour based on need for a 3rd center. But you gotta give the spots to the players that impress at camp.

I voted for Jenkins and N'dour. I think Jenkins is basically a lock unless he completely implodes at training camp. I believe N'dour and Famous will battle for the last spot. We have 2 legit centers we know can play in this league, so we roll with them and hope neither gets hurt. Powell or N'dour can fit in spot minutes if either Zaza or Daly get in foul trouble.

I know he isn't a center but just for the sake of putting 3 guys at each position I put him there. But if we cut Felton then we should definitely add McGee or another center.

For me N'Dour will be for sure. And then, I would like that the final place was for Famous, but I believe it will be for Jenkins. We need more help in the SG bench position.

I think the Mavs take the best two with upside no matter what position.
Then use Felton (and maybe one of them) as a trade piece (or pieces) to address any other areas of need as the season progresses.

Only 2 ? I don't think so ..

1-Felton will be traded or waived before the start of the season . He wont be needed with Deron / Harris / Barea

Mavs Final 15

PG-Deron / Harris / Barea
SG-Matthews / Anderson / Jenkins
SF-Parsons / Ndour / Evans
PF-Dirk / Charlie V / Powell
C-Zaza / Dalembert / Mejri

If the Mavs get McGhee then

PG-Deron / Harris / Barea
SG-Matthews / Anderson / Jenkins
SF-Parsons / Ndour / Evans
PF-Dirk / Charlie V / Powell
C-McGhee / Zaza / Mejri

This is without a doubt the most un-athletic starting unit I've ever seen with everyone being an "under the basket" type of player. BUT, I do like the the BBIQ that we potentially have here. All in all, I'm honestly excited about next season and maintain modest expectations.

Apparently McGee's is fully guaranteed in year one, so only one of those five can make it.

Full 20 man roster, with 5 of 6 being cut prior to the season.

I'd like to vote for just Jenkins.

It's not even an option as long as Felton is still on the roster... And there's no way we stretch him for Ndour.
