Default Big signing for Baylor

Scott Drew is doing a good job with the program. If Baylor can hold on to all of it's verbals, they'll be pretty good in two or three years.

I've been watching this kid for the past couple of years and he made a really big leap last year. His low post game needs polish, but that's the kind of big man you want in today's college game. He'll contribute right away, yet he's not good enough to go pro after one year.

It's also been rumored that he and Skyline's Calvin Miles are a package deal...if that's the case then Baylor makes out like bandits.
South Oak Cliff forward Kevin Rogers is off the market.

The 6-9, 240-pound senior said he orally committed to play basketball at Baylor on Thursday night.

Rogers said he had wanted to commit for a long time but waited until the final pieces came together. He said his decision came down to Georgia Tech and Baylor.

"I wanted to stay close to home and play in front of my family," Rogers said. "It's a good school academically, and it's a good Christian school."

He also said he thought he could go in and play immediately.

Rogers had been linked with Kansas for much of his recruiting process, but the Jayhawks ended up getting a commitment from another big man last month.

Rogers said he took an unofficial visit to Baylor last May.

Rogers said he plans to sign during the NCAA signing period that begins Nov. 10. Oral commitments are nonbinding.

Rivals.com ranks Rogers as the No. 35 player in the nation.
We have four of the nations top 100 recruits committed and a 7 footer from Senegal will be joining in December and be eligible next fall. Looks awesome!!!!

BTW, the rumor is that Baylor Hoops will stinnk this season. All of the good players who remained from the pre-Drew era have graduatted and we have a team dominated by walk-ons.

However, the year after....katie bar the door! The Bears are back.
