Why not Joe Johnson or Mike Redd?

I've been busy the past few months, and haven't kept up with basketball at all. Though tonight i had some time, so I went on line and saw that Redd and Johnson were FA's, and that Redd was unrestricted. I was thinking that with them letting go of Finley that there should be enough cap space to sign Redd, who already signed a contract a few years back with Dallas.

Obviously if there was any possibility of this then it would be a hot topic. I'm just asking why isnt this possible?
