So, Portland and Phoenix...what a weird season we're having.
Fortunately for the Blazers, they got blown out on the road. If that would've happened at the Rose Garden they would have been eliminated from contention this season.

Per Hollinger, they probably are.

A rookie sleeper to look out for that hasn't been talked about is Nicola Vucevic on Philly not athletic at all but very skilled on the post and very good rebounder he will be pushing for more and more minutes as season goes on.

The Wizards maybe the worst team in NBA. John Wall doesn't look phenomenal at all. He looked very pedestrian up against Rubio and seemed to have regressed.

I'm a big fan of Nicola. He beasted at USC. Good rebounder and three-point shooter with a post game. A little bit like Okur (but taller).

Definitely feel for them after going through the Roddy injury. Maynor was making decent progress.

The Kings have to break up the Cousins and Evans experiment. Those two despise each other and tension on court between those two is visible through my TV screen

I just don't think they know how to play together, the worst thing for the kings to do is trade one or both of their 2 most talented players for little, they have to keep them unless they get fair value (which is extremely unlikely).

I refuse to believe Rubio is a rookie, boy is he ahead of the game, he has a lot of Kidd/Nash in him. His court vision is way, way advanced. John Wall, even with all his natural god given talent, does not have that. Rubio looked like an NBA point guard, Wall looked like an athlete. Big difference.

Sigh really wish Kawhi and Malcolm ended up elsewhere, now I can't really hate the spurs. Malcolm Thomas is going to the spurs he is extremely long athletic shot blocker (fastest second jump I have ever seen) he is only 6'9 225 and really doesn't have a jumper so he will struggle to score in the NBA but he is extremely quick and athletic, plays above the rim and has quite a bit of potential on the defensive end.

Gotta throw a little love DJ Augustin's way. Cat is putting up:
17/8/4 (only 2 turnovers) on 41/40/85 shooting.

Diop is so damn fat. It's amazing. I know he was pretty fat at times for Cleveland as well, but jeez. I'm not sure he can even get off the ground at this point.

He hit a free throw jumper in the first quarter, my jaw hit the floor.

No he didn't...he wasn't the one guarding Rose the whole time. Often Ridnour and JJB were on Rose. I actually watched most of this game because it was on NBATV. Rubio was actually +3 for the night. Not to hate on JJB, because he's played well when healthy this year, but he was God awful out there...turned in a -15. Minny looked best playing Rubio & Ridnour together. Their real problem is at the 2, 3, and 5. Johnson/Ellington is one of the worst SG combos in the NBA. Beasley has regressed this year at the 3, and Williams is just a rookie (honestly, he should start soon) and they've got Darko at the 5.

He's been good, but one thing he hasn't done like with us, is shoot the 3 ball well (30%).
