Hahaha, exactly. How could you not have this attitude after the last few years of freeagency?

No need to post it. Marc Stein is confirming most of it. We're going to set up a trade for Bogut too. It's looking for sure now.

Because all it confirms is he can sign with anyone. We are just perceived as "favorites". Yeah... never heard that before. Nope not once.

I think if we get Barnes we would have the psychological advantage over GS in a playoff series. The reason is.....ah I can't do it.

Dallas being "full steam ahead" doesn't mean there was a verbal agreement. It looks good for us right now, but I'm definitely skeptical anything can happen.

I don't know if he did or not, but the MBT should get that commitment before they leak their intentions. They had leverage because no one else thought this scenario likely, but now they have none. You could write a book on "How not to run your free agency campaign" if they bungled this one.

I'm full steam ahead on getting into Scarlett Johansson's pants... Haven't gotten a verbal agreement yet, but you can pretty much just assume that we're dating.

This ESPN headline sounds like they had an agreement (Dallas Mavericks Harrison Barnes agree to max deal), but the article itself sounds noncommittal.

Ok, Fish confirms on twitter that Barnes is coming if you trust him. Sounds legit though.

Someone please talk me into throwing this much $$$ at Harrison Barnes. It just seems like way too much for a guy who probably won't be leading Dallas to a title....especially with a GSW team that is now the unanimous favorites for years to come.

Once again, you can take Fisher for a grain of salt, but I doubt he'd post about this if the FO wasn't at least 90% sure Barnes was coming.

If you had known that KD was going to GS, giving up Parsons for an opportunity at HW + MC with a Barnes backup plan is a better plan than making Parsons the top priority.

This one seems to hit all the notes on the current situation. Sounds likely but still uncertain about Barnes. Also mentions Bogut possibility and, as an alternative, Ezeli. Its Sefko, but nonetheless....

@ESPNSteinLine: ESPN sources say Dallas and unrestricted free agent-to-be Harrison Barnes have struck a verbal agreement on a four-year, $94 million deal

Nice, skip the 3 day wait. How much cap left after Barnes and Bogut?
Now, let's get Festus Ezeli and Seth Curry.

I have ever been a huge fan of Barbes. But I honestly think he will come in and have a huge year with a bigger role here. With Matthews hopefully feeling even better this year and Williams and Bogut so what healthy, I think we will get hit the playoffs again.

Absolutely. About the only part of the Mavs organization I still trust 100% is the training staff. They had deep reservations.
Even healthy, Parsons had a negligible impact on Mavs success. Anderson and Parsons were both tied with +0.8. Health concerns push it further into questionable even at 15-18. Max money is ridiculous

We had $30m on the books before we signed anyone...
DWill 10
Powell 9
Barnes 22
Bogut 11
That puts us at about 82 with a $94m cap... If Dirk gets a raise from his $8m, then we're just about out of space.

Harrison Barnes is now the highest paid Dallas Maverick in franchise history.
Or since nothing is officially signed I should say will be once signed.

How much were we expecting Conley to take? Not 30 million right?

Forget the total numbers, you have to look at the total percentage of the cap...

We're getting these Golden State players and the ironic thing is it's making us just good enough to be the 8 seed to lose to Golden State in the first round.
