Kerry Collins to the Titans
per Dallas Morning News.
Good sign for VY's development inmho. Should push Volek to 2nd string and Vince to 3rd. Probably disappoints a lot of tu fans but in the long run this should give VY a chance to be good.
I like the move.

I doubt seriously that Collins would sign to be a back up.
But good luck with that.

I hope volek starts because i have drew bennet on a fantasy team and volek loves bennet like a fat kid loves cake.

no kidding, i actually have them both as backups on my team (bennett and volek), precisely for that reason.
honestly, as a defacto titans fan, i'd rather see volek in there (not from a fantasy perspective). i really don't like kerry collins.

I think Collins will start, or at least I think he should. It seems kind of pointless to sign him as a backup.

I have them both as starters, so Volek had damn well better play. Of course its a 2 qb per team league..so give me some credit.

Wow, are you in a 30 team league?

Well....if you need a backup QB, the Oakland Raiders just signed Jeff George. Seriously. THAT Jeff George.

ahh, jeff george no thanks. I'll just put in my backup Byron Leftwitch. I'm just shocked that the titans felt the need to sign an extra QB, and a starting one at that. Volek must be doing badly/horrendus in preseason. maybe they just felt like signing a guy with experience to sort of teach VY the ropes.

I could have sworn that the Ticket reported this morning Collins would be the 3rd stringer behind V.Y.
Umm...did anyone else hear that ticker?

he may be right now but i guarantee you they are planning on him competing with volek. I dont think it matters who starts for vince because they are committed to giving him the 1 or 2 series a game no matter who starts so i believe the battle is essentially if you win you are 1st and if you lose you are 3rd but vy will be second no matter what.

Book it.

I think Volek will still start, but if he starts to struggle he'll be yanked pretty quick from the starting role.

well, even if volek does start, the whole situation is now iffy, so i dropped him and picked up wali lundy. i'll pick up a backup QB when my starter's bye week comes.
but as a titans fan, i'd still rather see volek in there than collins.

You're kidding yourself if you think there's nothing to this.
Dan Patrick has been talking about this all afternoon. Collins is their guy. Period.

i'm not saying there's nothing to it. the writing is obviously on the wall.
but that article didn't provide anything but speculation. how can the defense rest?
i couldn't care less about volek. i just honestly think he gives the titans the best chance to win.
