Never ever said Dirk was soft. Love the dude. The team as a whole is soft, stale, uninspired, etc.
I kind of like what Barnes brings. Can shoot the 3 just enough that the D has to respect and he gets to the rim when they close out. Plays good defense and is versatile and doesn't back down. And 4 the minimum he's underrated. Would've rather we signed him than JJB! or George. I like players who fought to get into the league and do a little of everything(mario elie, john starks, bowen). They tend to play with a chip on their shoulder. Something we're lacking.

All good points, Mac. Dispite my dislike for Barnes I would also undoubtedly prefer him on this team over George or Barea.

Seems like Cubes is leaning to Starbury once a buyout is reached, but just in case, can he help or he can just make the matter worse?

Starbury would certainly be a better backup PG than Barea, would he not?
I think the "team cancer" thing is a little overblown as well.
but I dunno. If cheap, I think it would be worth it.

I wonder if a Josh/Stack package for something along the likes of Miller/Cardinal/Brewer would work out in any way? Minnesota would get a great #2 option (Josh) and a huge expiring contract in Stack for a bad contract (Cardinal), a disappointing draft pick (Brewer) and their best shooter.
I'd be all over that action... wonder if McHale would do it after (before?) a couple brewskis....

Josh-for-Miller is trading one problem for another - this team has done enough of that lately...
(but I like how you're thinking! Would they take JET instead of Josh?)

Whereas I like that deal, I'm not sure why they would have any interest.

Charlotte isn't moving JRich, just like Minn isn't moving MMiler.
What do you think of this one though?
Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Dallas and Charlotte being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Dallas and Charlotte had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Nobrainer if Cuban is willing to pay. But i still think the team who wants Wallace has to eat Carroll or Nazr.

Yeah if Charlotte were to trade G.Wallace it would be a double salary dump-Wallace and Carroll. Wallace doesn't seem to be playing too well but a change of scenery would help. He's a beast when he's on. Good finisher would look good with Kidd on the break.

Isn't getting Nazr a good thing. I remember he used to be pretty good there for awhile on the Spurs.

Bump
Which of the wings that have been speculated on this board will be the next to have the season-ending injury? So far we have:
Redd
Mason
Wallace (I'm assuming the collapsed lung sidelines him for a few months, though I haven't read anything confirming that)
It's almost like the Madden Cover Curse.
