RE:Cuban on the Ticket
Nothing major. A couple of things that I found interesting:
Cuban commented on how much abuse he takes on the road. He said the only one close is Shawn. Just thought it was interesting that Shawn is not a major player on this team, yet he takes the most abuse. Kind of sad really.
He also said that Don Nelson got on Antione Walker in the 2nd or 3rd quarter (can't remember) of the GS game about taking so many 3's. Walker didn't take any for the remainder of the game. Good to see Nelson is monitoring this. Hope it continues.
The NBA and the Reebok screwed up the new uni’s. The color the Mavs sent in was not the color they got back. As a result, the league is giving us another shot. The new one should be out late this season or early next season.

RE: Cuban on the Ticket
Yeah, before the uniforms were displayed, Cuban was taking full credit. Now that they are a complete failure, he's trying to lay the blame on whoever he can. First he blamed Reebok for making them the wrong color. Then he blamed the players, who he said liked the jerseys. Then he somehow blamed the NBA, who apparently admitted that they screwed up and are allowing the Mavs to introduce another alt-road jersey next year.

RE:Cuban on the Ticket
Well, in the uniform thread, the one of the pictures looks very silver, not the pewter grey they ended up with. Uniforms still suck though.

I heard this while driving in to work. I wonder if anyone in Boston ever thought of this.

RE:Cuban on the Ticket
It's to be expected for Walker to be on his best behavior this first few weeks, but the question is will he stay disciplined the rest of the year.

There is no reason for him not to remain happy. He's a starter, he'll play starter minutes. He gets to do everything that he did in Boston. Except take a few less shots on some nights and not take as many 3's.
Some nights he'll take 20 shots like he did in the GS game and other nights he'll take 13 like in the Laker game.
The only thing Nelson will get on him about is the 3's. I don't see Walker throwing a fit over this one thing.

RE: Cuban on the Ticket
He looked awfully happy to me in the Golden State game after that second straight possession where he found Dirk going to the basket. That's a deadly combination waiting to happen.
Also, I don't know about Nellie or the rest of you, but I was pretty happy to see him make some big threes at important times in the Lakers game. Didn't he make threes on consecutive possessions in the second? Sure seemed like he was keeping us around for a while there.

RE:Cuban on the Ticket
I wouldn't worry about Walker getting out of line... he is essentially in a contract year. So he has to try to do anything he can to look like a better player.

Right now I would say there's no reason for any of the mavs to take very many 3's. We have to keep taking some to space the floor, but we're shooting horrible as a team and we need to cut way back on what we normally would shoot if we're hitting. And our big guys Walker, Dirk, Jamison, whoever need to be inside or attacking the basket. At least this way when the guards to throw up a brick of a 3pter we have big guys positioned to have a chance at the rebound.

RE:Cuban on the Ticket
Well I don't know about taking threes but against golden state he was surely our second-best player and he wasn't a guard.
In some respects he looks like he has a lot more attitude than others. I'm starting to get pretty interested.

RE:Cuban on the Ticket
The exciting part is that any of the big 5 can step up and be the number one guy for any particulary night (at least on paper).
I think it will still mainly be big Dirk, but the other 4 will get in the mix sometime this year I predict.
