Like a raw power hitter. He's a pretty free swinger. He did jack one in the first Minnesota game.

He is Willy Mo pena part 2. They are exactly the same player. As for cruz, i think its funny yall all think he is so big. Guess it just shows how small baseball players are in general. He is just 6-2 240. Im bigger than he is.

Rangers took advantage of the break they got in Loriano missing his start. Very nice series win headed into a make or break stretch against the West.
Man I hope they can string together some wins over the next couple weeks.

Former Baylor Bear Kip Wells looked solid today. He kept the ball down in the strike zone nicely and hit his spots consistently. We fleeced Pittsburgh like crazy.

I am also 5-0, but 6-2, 240 is pretty laaaarrge for the average man.

I guess its just that im used to being around bigger guys. My best friend is a D1 offensive lineman that is 6-3 310. Another good friend from hs is 6 6 340 and a starting guard from tech. Many other friends much bigger than i am and im 6-2 253 though im not as round as lee. I guess im just used to seeing bigger guys. I think of myself as around average because most of the people i hang out with are smaller than me. Back on topic, well pitched well today. As i said when we got him, a guy with an arm like his for essentially nothing is a great trade. Tex has kicked it back in gear. Glad to see that. I just traded young on my fantasy team but he is swinging the bat well too. As I told Ninko when i made the trade, i hope he becomes the best fantasy player ever for the rest of the year. PS to conclude that trade, i picked up Juan Rivera and Scott Olsen so it turned into Young, Ibanez, Cameron and Durham for Wright, Ramirez, Rivera and Olsen.

who's your buddy from Tech? I am a Tech grad and huge fan.
I'm bigger than most of my friends, and at 6'5" 235, I've been told that i don't know my own strength. I've just started realizing that I am a large person and I'm 31. One day it'll hit you.

Louis Vasquez. I also know graham harrel pretty well and he will start this year not Chris Todd. I went to tech last year btw.

If you guys think you are average, it would mean that for every person smaller than you, you also see a person larger than you. If you think Carlos Lee is average as a baseball player, it would mean that for every player smaller than him there is also a player larger than him.
I suspect it has to do with more than what you perceive as a statistical average. Carlos Lee, for example, is absolutely huge as a baseball player. He's easily in the 99th percentile of largeness, for baseball players.

Speaking of weight, Matt Stairs is listed at 215. He looks a helluva lot heavier than that to me. I thought he made Carlos Lee look like Jane effing Fonda the other night.
BTW, Lee looks VERY akward fielding balls in the outfield.

Well, Stairs IS half a foot shorter than Lee. But 215 is probably still a tad generous.
I question why they have Lee in LF. He seems like a prototypical right fielder to me, with a good arm and below average defensive abilities.
I guess they see Cruz as a RF, but when Wilkerson and Lee are in the OF together, I don't understand having Lee in left.

These Rangers are pissing me off! They just gave up a 6-2 lead in the eighth. This would be a very, very tough pill to swallow if they go on to lose.
I got so mad, in fact, that I just cut Kip Wells from my fantasy team. For the moment I'm still hanging on to Padilla and Eaton, but if this game ends badly, some more heads are likely to roll. If they manage to get swept this series, I'll cut GMJ, DeRosa, and Laird too!

Well, this is the one real consequence of the Lee trade. We have to find someone else to pitch the 8th now.
No excuse for Mahay to come in and give a four pitch walk to Anderson. He's a freaking lefty specialist. He has to get one guy out, and he can't even throw him a strike.
UGG. I swear, we better win this game.

Mahay sucks balls. Buck should be fired on the spot for that error in judgement.
Wilkerson and Barajas should be benched too.

Woot! Doc was spreading some SERIOUS mojo in the gameday thread!
BTW, I take back what I said about DeRosa, for now. He certainly seems like he might make this hot streak last all year, and his defense was superb tonight.
It is SO nice to have Tex back to normal. 9 dongs since the break!
Holy cow this was a huge win.

To calm a little of the Bauer frustration, that was the first homer he gave up since last april which is around 50 innings pitched for him. As for mahay, he has been pretty darn good this year. He even had a perfect game string where he retired 27 consecutive hitters over the course of several games. I actually think he does a better job pitching to righties than lefties just off the top of my head but i havent looked at the splits at all so i could be way off base there.
BTW, Tex is not only hitting like tex again, he is hitting like Babe freakin Ruth. A homer every 8.9 abs?

I realize that about Bauer. I still would have liked to see Aki in that situation, for a four out save. Bauer's BAA doesn't give me a lot of faith that he can just step right in and get an out in that situation.
As for Mahay, I didn't have a problem with bringing him in, but there's certainly zero excuse for what he did. That's just unforgiveable.

BTW, as much as i dont think we should give up on bauer after one bad game(i still think he is a very valuable guy) Littleton has got to be the 8th inning guy now. His stuff is just filthy.

We should have done it last night. Next time he makes an out in his first plate appearance, intentionally walk him every time up after that. I dont give a crap if it looks scared im just tired of hearing about that streak.

i felt sick to my stomach after the 8th. the HR is one thing, but a 4 pitch walk by Mahay, pathetic. But I'm very glad to see TX pull it out. It would be huge for team confidence to get through this division stretch looking good, especially against LA.
And for Bauer, it was really encouraging to see him continue the game after giving up that jack. He, along with Littleton, makes me feel a little better about the pen.
NOW if we can just keep GLAD from killing us, we'll make it through this series

ok, I want to know who's who on Newberg's forum? I know that Doc is Doc. Murph is murph (where the hell is murph by the way), but who else is on there?
Myself, I am Garcia over there. Let me know some names so I can give you an exalt or two...and maybe hook me up as 7 keeps smiting me after he threatened to beat me up about 3 months ago...
