Default LA TIMES trade rumor?

Anybody heard of any LA Times story that has a trade rumor between the Mavs and the Magic..

Dallas trades:

Finley
2nd round pick

Orlando trades:

McGrady
Hunter

Sounds like a crock but anybody heard this rumor. Got it off the ESPN boards so that may explain it.

Lets say it is true. Do you do it now? Do you break up this team for Tracy?

Boy, that one's a jolt...BB. I can't imagine that Orlando would ever even think about that one...it's way too far fetched to consider really. But just on a "what if they would" basis....I would do it REAL QUICK.

If FOR NO OTHER REASON...you have to go young rather than old.

But since it's not ever going to happen...I don't want to go on and spoil the great mood that these last 2 wins have put me in.

Absurd. Orlando trades TMac, and all they get is Finley? ESPN boards are on crack, obviously.

No slam to Fin who's a nice player, but TMac will bring way more than that in a deal. And Orlando isn't going to trade their franchise player anyway.

I did a quick scan of the LA Times and didn't come up with anything. It sounds like an old rumor/idea thrown around here first.

And wouldn't the Mavs have to offer a 1st round pick instead of a second for McGrady?

Just curious - did they also have any Shaq for Delk rumors? Or Najera for KG? How about TAW for Duncan, we sure do need a center.

These trade ideas involving Fin makes me think...what a clever way to knock Fin down in another way.

I just read ESPN board, and it's crap. They say TMAC is going to opt out at the end of the season, so Orlando would get something for nothing.

NASH13 ....Interesting thing for them to say. Especially since TMac does NOT have the contractual ability to opt out this summer!

Whats going to happen? Is he just going to say "I opt out" and it magically happens? Maybe he will click his heels together and it will come to pass? Is the word Abracadabra or Shazam or Alakazam involved????

Finley and Walker for T-Mac and Grant Hill. The magic can finally rid themselves of hill's deal. Walker has what two years left on his deal. One great player is always better then two good ones. Jamison can finally be inserted into the lineup.

How about we substitue TAW and Najera for Fin and then do the deal?

Hell this isnt a knock on Finley...this is the biggest compliment you can give him. Saying that orlando is willing to give us one of the top 5 young players in the league and a big man we need for him and a 2nd rounder...

Hopefully one day Finley will be traded to a team where the fans truly appreciate him. That's why it would be great if he got a trade to Portland - those fans LOVE their players (except the disreputable types).

Stop this insanity!

This would be a GREAT Trade if GRANT HILL was his old self Pre-Injury. But he's not so you are basically getting a washed-up Walking-Injury and a Superstar whose only claim to fame is his CHOKE-JOB last year.

Sorry but like someone else here said : It's best to go YOUNG than old. Walker is 27 so he SHOULDN'T go.

End of story.
