dallas gets a great point guard at the expense of a really crappy one, a little depth at center, and much needed outside shooting.
cleveland gets to appease lebron who has been pushing for kidd, and gets to dump wallace's albatross contract. cleveland would be far be getting the best of this deal going purely on current production.
toronto resolves their point guard issues by letting calderon run the show full time, and shores up a sensational frontcourt.
trade works according to espn trade checker.

That makes absolutely no sense, sorry. TJ Ford isn't great, Baston is a bum in the NBA and the other two are washed-up. As bas as Josh has been I wouldn't trade him straight up for that package.

BronBron surely wants Jason Who Could now...
I would only want the Detroit Ben Wallace version, not the present one...

I cant believe you just said that TJ Ford is better than Jason Kidd...
Jason Kidd not producing on some nights isnt a Jason Kidd thing as much as it is a Avery Johnson thing, I believe. JKidd is a hall of famer and with a new coach that will let him play his style of basketball he is great.
But I do want to trade him...just not for TJ f'n Ford. wow.

I love TJ, probably top 10 favorite NBA player. But the guy is overrated, especially post-injury. And watching Toronto play and execute so much better with a shooter in Calderon at the PG makes TJ look even worse. TJ needs a team that is fast paced with finishers above the rim, and Dallas does not have that.

in 26 starts this year, ford averaged 14 points, 7 assists, and 51% shooting in 27mpg. he has a low assist to turnover ratio, a good midrange shot, and excellent court vision. his per minute production in every category went up as a starter, as did his percentages and assist to turnover ratio. This guy is ready to run an offense full time. also, he led a team to the final four, which shows that he has a little bit of mettle. and he's a very quick defender, so he's not as much of a liability against guards like Parker or Paul.
he has a PER almost 4 points higher than jason kidd does for the season. and that's including kidd's rebound rate, which, honestly, kidd doesn't get more than a couple rebounds a game that another player on our team wouldn't be getting.
i actually see this as a josh for tj trade, and a kidd for wallace/damon/baston trade.
