Mavs are built to wreck the Wizards. Wiz are an old-school team and Rick knows how to wreck them, plus they've been having real issues with effort and consistency that a recent players-only meeting didn't help. Back in November they were our second win of the season and we totally outclassed them.
I'm afraid we'll win and sweep the series.

Wall and Beal combine for 65 pts. We fall short after a desperate attempt late to get back in the game.

If those Generals can't beat the Globetrotters, imagine what the Mavs will do to them tonight!
Mavs - 114
Generals - 98

@bobbykaralla: Rick Carlisle said Devin Harris is out tonight, exhibiting symptoms of concussion. He's in the league's concussion protocol. Doesn't believe it to be a long-term issue.

@bobbykaralla: Smith, Matthews, Barnes, Germans start. With no Devin Harris, expect to see Kyle Collinsworth tonight for Dallas.

No kidding, I was hoping to see something flashy with all that space and he didn't disappoint.

What can we get for a Wes/Salah package? (I mean, other than our own picking going higher?)

Who would you trade him to, and what would you expect to get back?
I'm thinking New Orleans makes sense, but I don't know that I'd want anything back from them other than future 1st draft picks (I'm talking like 2020/2021 on the thought the Brow leaves & those picks are in the lottery), maybe their 1st round this year & a future 1st round pick, and we'd have to take back a bad contract.
Maybe Detroit if they're already in the market for Fournier. Something like Kennard (if the Mavs would even have any interest) and a 1st.
I think Milwaukee would have interest, and I think Wes wouldn't mind going back to his old stomping grounds. Not sure what Milwaukee could give that we'd be interested in tho. No way they wanna put Jabari on the table for Wes.

I think Jabari is off the block now that Kidd is out.

Collinsworth has to do better in a one on one in the block. Obvious foul.

Nice to hear Harp back, btw... Skin too, actually (yeah) -- haven't heard the 3-man crew in a long time. Feels like home.

He or Kleber have to go. They are too similar and the Mavs have other needs.

I think Powell is a lot like a platoon bat in baseball, someone like David Murphy or Jonny Gomes. Yeah you respect their game, love their attitude/hustle/etc, but when it comes down to it, they have little to no trade value.
What team is going to give you better than a mid to late 2nd round pick for Dwight Powell? And that point wouldn't you rather just keep him & see how much more he can develop the rest of this season.
I would put Kleber and probably even Yogi into this group too.

You're looking at things in too simple of a sample. There are a million ways to orchestrate a trade depending on who is involved and with what team...and if the Mavs are willing to part with the player.

Didn't want to jinx it, but the Kings almost made a crazy comeback in the 4th quarter. More evidence the Kings are tanking, Cauley-Stein had the 2nd most FGA of his career shooting 5 for 20. He had several mid range 2 point shots on the play-by-play chart (that he missed) in the 4th qtr as the Kings were trying to comeback. Smh.
Maybe the Mavs could study what the Kings are doing & try to do a better job of tanking!

I personally would take a bag of air(meaningless late 2nd) for Powell. Just to be rid of his salary. Energy guys like him are everywhere. Yogi and Kleber I wouldn't because they are on team friendly deals.
