Utah/NO trade idea...good one, I think
Dallas receives:
PG Carlos Arroyo (9.3 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 6.6 apg in 30.5 minutes)
SG Gordan Giricek (9.3 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 1.7 apg in 19.2 minutes)
SG Raja Bell (10.8 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.6 apg in 26.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +8.8 ppg, -2.5 rpg, and +5.1 apg.
Utah receives:
PG Jason Terry (9.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 3.4 apg in 24.0 minutes)
SF Josh Howard (11.6 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.4 apg in 35.2 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -8.8 ppg, +2.5 rpg, and -5.1 apg
Dallas receives:
PF PJ Brown (9.9 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 2.1 apg in 36.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -4.5 ppg, +5.1 rpg, and -0.3 apg.
New Orleans receives:
SG Jerry Stackhouse (14.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.4 apg in 29.9 minutes)
Pavel Podkolzine (No games yet played in 2004/05)
Change in team outlook: +4.5 ppg, -5.1 rpg, and +0.3 apg.
Dallas gets one of the best defensive (and offensively improving guards) in the league with Bell who already knows the system, the spot up three point shooter we need with Giricek, and a true passing point guard with Arroyo, who is deep in Sloan's doghouse right now. PJ Brown brings us the defensive toughness and offensive rebounding ability we really need.
Utah gets the point guard they wanted 2 years ago with Terry (also in the doghouse), and Howard fills the humongous hole left by Kirilenko's injury. With Giricek leaving, Kirk Snyder can finally see some playing time.
New Orleans comes out good in the deal as well...the glut at PF there is solved, and Stackhouse can assume Mashburn's role. Davis, Wesley, and Stackhouse is a pretty decent trio. Pavel is a 'potential' packed thrown in.

I know that's a big roster turnover, but what the hell.
