how well do you think the usa will do in the world championship?
good, bad, bronze again?
I think they are taking a risk with a college coach (as good as coach k is), but it might be just what the program needed.

I think they will win it all. They have gotten the right kind of mind-set with more than a bunch of showme guys. Young, quick and athletic. I think the battier, bowen additions are really good.
I'm watching this durn thing now and I didn't realize that Amare didn't play at all. That seems to have sort of been hidden from the news.

So it looks like the international game has full-blown zones with no defensive 3-seconds. Sounds good to me, less calls for the zebras to make the better.

I hope and expect that they will win gold. But I don't think it will be a cakewalk.

I'm willing to bet the two people getting cut are going to be Jamison and Bowen. They really serve no purpose. Maybe Miller instead of Jamison.
Even though like GO DJ, i'll be rooting for Germany, i think the US will have an easy time winning. Two words can describe why they lost in the Olympics: Larry Brown. It's a shame people get on Francis, Marbury, and Crawford because of their egos but give Brown a pass. He has a bad attitude and is self-righteous.

They will win gold if they do not stumble over their egos when they play the really good teams.

I know they won by 45 points last night. I understand that. But somehow, they won by 45 and we're still very sloppy about it. Early on anyway. They won't be able to have sloppy starts against better teams. But I am confident that coach K will be all business no matter how many they win by. They'll be fine

I predict a pretty easy victory. This team is as good as a US team could be.
Furthermore, I predict that Carmelo Anthony is going to continue to destroy everyone on the opposing team.

Coach K is the perfect coach. This team was made to press. When you have that kind of depth and athletecism it makes no sense not to press. They did all seem a little three point happy early but I will be surprised if anyone stays within 20. Did anyone notice lebron in the post? He looked like kevin friggin mchale on that left handed reverse pivot. I love bron and he is my favorite non mav but him developing a dominant post game is not something the rest of the nba needs. He can already do everything else. Oh yeah and he showed that when he decides to he can actually be a defensive force. Has there ever been a guy in any sport with more physical tools than he has? Im not just talking Running and jumping im saying actual skills to go with those things. I cant think of anyone.

Yeah bron was definatly a monster last night. That post up move where he went right, then left with the left handed layup was beautiful.
Almost as cool as the pass JJ gave to him for that monster slam. LeBron is amazing.

I think USA is going to win the gold. They have a good mix.
