The Maverick's seem to be in prime possition to actually challenge the Laker's for the Western Conference. The way this team has responded since Finley was injured is a true indicator of just how good this team is right now, and how good they can actually become.
How good can they be? How good will Wang get? Eduardo?....Griff?
How deep can Nelson go on his bench? How much better are they going to be when Nelson decides it's time for Mike to return to the team?
One of the biggest possitives that came out of Finley's injury, was the development of both Eduardo, and Wang. They would have never been in a possition to recieve more minutes if Mike hadn't gotten hurt. It allowed both of them to progress in their development, and at the same time challenging both, Dirk, and Steve to step it up, yet, another notch.
If you ask me, which your probably not going to do, the biggest story of the first half of the season is Wang, and Eduardo's ability to arise to the occasion, which in turn allows the Nelson's to have more confidence in his bench, and in turn, rewarding those who are contributing the most...
I'm curious.......Will Nelson keep the same minutes for Wang, and Eduardo? Will Nelson take advantage of the opportunity to lower Finley's minutes? While at the same time, lightening the load on Mr. Nash. Will he take the correct path, and not waiste a golden opportunity? You all so keep the development process on both Najera, and Wang. You never miss a beat, while at the same time, take over the Western Conference right in front of the Laker's nosies.............
