All I can say is that if the Mavericks are truly thinking of keeping NVE and counting on him as a significant bench contributor, the cap on their prospects (and my optimism) is in plain sight.

I think we oughtta wait and see what they pull off. If they intend to make a trade to acquire frontcourt help, clearly NVE will have to be involved. If they think they can get it done via an FA signing, then maybe they can. (For the record, when I say FA signing, I mean a guy who played in the league on a regular basis last year, not the Ming-killer Garth Joseph).

They better not be thinking that Garth Joseph is the answer to our problems. If that is what we are stuck with just because they don't want to move NVE, my disappointment will be undescribable. I hope the brain trust is smarter than that.

Are the Nellies actually trying to tell us that they will play rookies and inexperienced former players? Come on, Nellie! Harvey never saw the floor for two years, Esch logged like 40 minutes total last season.

Anyway, you can't trust what they say to the Media. If I remember right, they denied rumors about VanExel and LaFrentz, too.

dude,of course they know more about what's going to happen this off-season..they are the ones that make the decisions..
they sure as hell better have more of an idea. although i think many of us are intelligent enough to see what the probably outcome will be if the mavs go a certain direction

Murph.... Wishful thinking on the posters part I imagine. Although in small cases I think the posters here make good sense and certainly bring up valid questions, I would have to give the nod to nellie, little nellie and del about the makeup of the team that gives us the best chance to win it all. If there is one thing cuban has brought to the mavs is highly raised expectations and the removal of all excuses.

There is no doubt in the organization what the ultimate goal is and that not doing everything to get there is unacceptable.
