LOL, one of our commentators said "wow it's rare that Nowitzki grabbed board like that! So he knows he has different obligation in national team." BS, he doesn't know Dirk is Dallas leading rebounder.

Brazil's defense was solid down the stretch. Guess they played like this last time against USA so almost won.

Nowitzki on fire as Germany edge Brazil in Nanjing
BEIJING, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki put in another superb performance to lead Germany to a narrow 76-75 victory over Brazil in a world championship warm-up tournament in Nanjing, China on Saturday.
The Germans, who spoiled Yao Ming's return to the China side with an 82-73 win on Friday, had a 41-36 lead at the half and were 52-40 ahead at one stage in the third quarter.
The South Americans, however, battled back and Germany were forced to tough it out to secure a slender victory.
Earlier, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker led France to a 72-68 comeback win over European champions Greece, who had led 23-18 after the first quarter and 36-35 at halftime.
The Stankovic Cup, which also features hosts China and Australia, continues on Sunday in Nanjing before moving to nearby Kunshan on Tuesday for the final round of games.
The world championship starts in Japan on August 19.

Cool, another win for Germany. How were Dirk's stats?

A win is a win, i'm surprised Dirk didn't get 20+ but 16 boards is impressive.

Yeah, I think shaw said he was struggling with his shot, but I'll take 18/16.

I think we can take it as an extremely good sign that if Dirk only scores 18 and Germany still wins (I honestly thought he would need a great scoring output everytime in order for them to stay in any game) they will be in good shape when Dirk goes off at any random time in any random game (like China in the fourth), I truthfully want to see Germany be the only team to beat the U.S, I don't think they will have anyone who has a prayer of guarding Dirk anyway if Bowen is cut (he hasnt seen much tick anyway), Marion could have helped but he pulled out early. Seems like they are in good shape.

True, but I think the variables in that scenario make it a whole different story... if those NBA refs were allowed to call a game with Bron and Wade on the same team I think the entire basketball world would feel the pain the Mavericks fans feel now.
