Default Better than KT and KVH

Dallas trades: SF Jerry Stackhouse (13.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.0 apg in 29.8 minutes)
Dallas receives: PF PJ Brown (10.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.9 apg in 34.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -3.5 ppg, +5.0 rpg, and -2.1 apg.

New Orleans trades: PF PJ Brown (10.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.9 apg in 34.4 minutes)
New Orleans receives: SF Jerry Stackhouse (13.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.0 apg in 26 games)
Change in team outlook: +3.5 ppg, -5.0 rpg, and +2.1 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

New Orleans does it for three reasons. One is to make their backcourt stronger. Two is for Mashburn insurance. And three is to make room for David West.

Dallas does it to fill the 4 spot behind Dirk.

while it does make sense, i am concerned about not getting full value for mr. stackhouse. i dunno why anyone would knock on his skill saying stack is in decline or bad.. blah blah. he can still be a 20 ppg scorer/slasher.

brown is 34, i think he's sadly on the decline, even though in fantasy circles, he's an awesome PF to have for efficiency purposes.

No thanks, I'd rather keep stackhouse.

you don't do this trade ...we definitely need another scorer. If for any reason Dirk goes down. You can make it work with Stackhouse, but with PJ Brown..you will be really short..! This team w/ Dampier will still be very up-tempo especially with Terry as PG.

I don't know about this trade but Stack or Howard need to go before the season starts. I would hate to see the mavs piled up at one position like last year. It normally results in chemistry probs like last year or Nellie "experimenting" wildly like every year. Howard is young so it looks like stack needs to be the one to go. I actually wound't mind seeing Stack stay instead however. He could bring a nice scoring presence off the bench especially since he attacks the goal but its too risky.

Nice post, unstable.

I agree...It is risky to be as loaded as the Mavs are at the 2/3 spots. Nellie needs to make a decision on the rotation at those spots and go with it or move one of the players. Each player having at least somewhat of a defined role should help to elminate most of the chemistry issues. If it doesn't, then perhaps someone has to be the odd man out.

As for adding PJ Brown, he's an awfully good player to just be logging 10 minutes a game behind Dirk. I cannot imagine him being happy with that.
