Let's see.... if I root for the Spurs then the complete opposite will happen. So Spurs.... Hear that NBA Gods? I want the Spurs to win!! And if they do then that means I am the master of the universe!!

It's time for Fin to get his ring.
God knows he was never going to get it in Dallas.

Cavs. Although I wouldn't mind seeing Finley get a ring, I couldn't bear the Spurs fans getting a fourth ring and rubbing our noses in it. Plus, it would still be cool to see LeBron make that step into the championship circle.

I don't mind too much either way. I'm rooting for the Cavs, but I wouldn't mind seeing Fin get a ring. I just hate the Spurs.

The key part for me is your last sentence. My hatred for the Spurs and their fans (with BSR being a rare exception) outweighs my desire for Fin to get a ring. Our first round debacle gave them plenty of ammo in taunting us. A Spurs ring on top of that would just make that unbearable.

The only reason why I didn't want the Cavs to win because in all honesty, I'm anti-Lebron. I hate the Jordan comparisons, the greatest ever talks, blah blah blah.
But, after thinking about it for a few days now, I would rather have the Cavs beat the Spurs. That'll just give the Cavs one championship (one more than us). But if San Antonio wins, that's four titles. four. I don't think so.

Exactly. Though with Fin it makes it a little more bearable, but still I don't want to see Duncan getting his 4th ring while Dirk still doesn't have one. I don't really mind Lebron, and I don't see them as much of a threat in future years so I don't really hate them.

Almost invariably I root for the underdog in NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, Super Bowls.... The Spurs supply ample motivation to continue to do that this year.

East is least and West is the best... and I want the West to win, but I hate the Spurs... so I root for the Cavs, but I don't care too much for the media darling LeHype... so I root for the Spurs, but they're our whining, mean and arrogant next-door neighbors... so I root for the Underdogs who got our ex-longhorn, Boobie Gibson...
That's the latest on how I feel... now if you ask me tomorrow, who knows?! Btw, when's the draft?

In my eyes Finley was always a champion. Now he will have the ring to prove it.

I hope the best team wins. The refs will probably decide the series, as usual, so the better team may not get the trophy. I still think last years Mavs were better than the Heat, and that the atrocious foul calls against Dallas sealed their defeat. This year we have the veteran old timers, arguably one of the best teams ever, pitted against the youthful, exuberant, wave riding, ultra confident Cavs who have great momentum, and one of the best players to dribble a ball, King James. My money is on the Spurs simply because they are so cotton picking great. It should be a fun series. Spurs in 6. Cheers, Buck

But Duncan already has 3 lol. That's why I don't really get that logic. What's the difference between 3 or 4? Ahh I guess everyone has their own preference. I'm rooting strictly for Fin. Could careless if the Spurs or Cavs get it though. I'm a little shocked that people don't want Duncan to get another ring but would rather a 22 year old in Lebron get one before Dirk.

Spurs/Refs
I really don't want to see the LeBron hype any more than it is now. Amazing how he can have countless crappy games when his team really needs him then have...1...good game and he's treated like he's never messed up in his life, while when Dirk did just about the same thing last year nobody even paid attention...not to mention all LeBron had to do in game 5 to win in regulation was to his FTs...which he didn't do. If the Cavs are gonna win, I want to see LeBron get every call to know that we aren't the only team to suffer a painful ending like we did last year.
