Scoring in the paint every time down the floor versus missed 3's every time down the floor.
This is like basketball 101 right?

Resilient is the only word I can use to describe Argentina. They will no doubt lose this game, but props to them.
The United States still do not know how to beat a zone and it's making me chuckle. These are grown NBA basketball players right?

Yup, I also work downtown and I've lived in the midtown for the last year, but hopefully I will be able to return to my preferred Dallas home soon. Also, that sucks that you've got to work a partial Friday- particularly if you had to commute in from somewhere probably further afield than I am and had to waste gas for a short mornings worth of basketball-game-disrupting work this morning ...

Argentina can't keep up this intensity. U.S.A. will pull away. Stop moping.

They still do not have the correct personnel to beat the zone imo....
Big men who can pass well..people who can hit spot up for mid range..finding the crease for slashing/open shots..backdoor/baseline cuts..
half the time they just stand there around the 3 point line....
And...you are supposed to fastbreak/run on a zone..so they can't set up..it is hard to do that when Argentina is taking smart shots/drawing fouls

Dang... Unless they are hiding it somewhere very odd, I can't find it... But low and behold... My NBC affiliate just decided to start showing the game in HD on tape delay. Tip-off is after this commercial break...

The US will probably end the third quarter leading by 20+
Coach will play a backcourt of Deron and Wade which in international basketball, is superior to the backcourt of Paul and Kobe (although, I can make a case for this in the NBA game as well).
Argentina gave them a good run for their money, and that's all you can ask for from a team who lost their star player, and arguably the best international player in the world, in the first few minutes of the 1st quarter.
US will beat Spain by 17-21 points IMHO.

That´s what I said before the olympics. And it´s showing today. They will probably win the game but they are not really playing a team game, most of the time they just jack up shots.

I also live about 5 mins from downtown..in Memorial Heights..so it isn't too bad..
oh well...at least i don't have to sit through Houston traffic to go to work..which absolutely sucks balls...and will suck balls even more next week when they close the HOV lanes. HA.

Evil, when I put your zip into the nbcolympics.com web site on the listings page, it says your special Olympic basketball and soccer channels are on channels 86 and 87 ?
I'm sorry we won't let this die...you must have these channels!

Uggghhhh... This whole business has taken a turn toward the ridiculous, as I got dropped by my NBC olympic feed during half-time, and has now the dang thing has failed to reconnect the last ten times I've tried to get it to work again, and the only NBC coverage I've got is on AT&T U-Verse channel 1002, but the dang telecast on 1002 is on tape delay, and consequently the score is a groundhog-day-like 21-4, USA lead...

Since when can D-Whistle not make a free throw?
If he shot free throws like that 2 years ago I'd have a Mavs championship banner hanging in my office.
