Mavericks vs. Spurs Game 4 Official Game-Thread
It's time to bury these Sp*rts and Dirk, Devin, and Stack appear primed to drop SA into a 3-1 grave that the floppers and crybabies will not be able to climb out of. Mavs win 97-93 in an angry, foul-pocked game that will make the refs earn their game-checks...
Stab! Stab! Slash! More clean, honest Maverick Bayonets for dirty, yellow sp*r bellies tonight! Huzzzzaaahhhh!!!!!*
*I know I've used this pic before, but I am superstitious, and the bayonetting has not failed a game-day thread yet...

The bayonnettes' wounds tonite will be so deep they will be hurting the sp*rts all the way to game 5, where their title defense run will officially end. Mavs win by 30, game's over by the 3rd, Dirk rests for the closeout game 5 @ San Antonio.

The Spurs aren't done yet! But we have the advantage due to younger legs with only two days between games. Plus our amazing fans.
Come on Mavs - lets put the Spurs into a hole where they can't recover!

Avery & co. don't let golden opportunities slip away. The opponent is buried in an onslaught of epic proportions. The streets run red with the blood of vanquished chumpions.
Mavericks run roughshod 107-93.

Close game I predict... but the Mavs will administer a crushing blow to the Spurs by going up 3-1 by night's end.
Mavs win by 6.

Not sure where this comes from really, but as you can see Duncan is sitting behind Manu. Manu is primping like a little girl, then picks his nose and Duncan flicks Manu's hair. Manu then must have wiped the boog on his hair. Gross. They are like monkeys picking fleas from each others head.

Score Prediction:
Dallas: x
SA: Less than x
Simple math really.
SA < x
Dallas = x
Dallas > SA
The numbers don't really matter.

The mavs win this 101-92. Duncan finally cools off from the field but Parker plays better against Devin Harris. Howard has a big game and Dirk when given open shots nails them.

Don't feel bad, I've been a wreck all day. My mantra "Its just a game" isn't working today.

Dirk needs some healing power.... I guess we can hang our hats on the "the other guys are old and tired" card since we played 48 hours ago.... but that didn't do us much good in Game 1.
F the Spurs.

CONFIDENCE and BELIEF, brothers and sisters!!
TD has still yet to be stopped, Manu is coming on, Horry's due for another playoff memory-maker, either Finley/Van Exel ought to drop a classic revenge the ex game at some point and now Dirk is diggled...... it could even be excusable for those who were not fanatical to be weary, even worried...
but...
the good guys will prevail!!
None can stand in the way of the mighty Mavericks! Glory-bringing warriors of the white-blue cut who fight besides justice and righteous to bring honor and peace for their people. Guided by the fates and backed by Lady Luck, our hard-minded gladiators of the hardwood will ensure knee-bending submission from all enemies, whining or not.
Mavericks rise.... 100-98.

I have seen some of these before, but there is a new one that includes highlights of the Memphis series that is good. For those who are interested...

Mavs bury the tired old champs in such a convincing fashion that it leaves many contemplating whether they should be considered the favorites over the Pistons in the finals. Mavs win 108-89

Lets also not forget that the Spurs have yet to find a way to slow down Devin, nor have they found a way to keep us off the boards. What's more, so far the Mavs have done a pretty good job of running the Spurs off of the three. As for Dirk's ankle... been there done that. We've seen him sprain his ankle, and then come back and have a typical MVP performance in the next game. No reason to suspect that tonight will be different.
Perhaps most importantly, I think we should all have faith in AJ. If there's one thing that I can say is AJ's greatest strength is his ability and willingness to acknowledge and correct his own mistakes. Perhaps tonight we'll see Griff get in a few minutes to keep Ginobili in check. And hopefully if Dirk has a mismatch he'll take advantage of it.
