yep, i remember the days of 2 early, 2 late games. never happens for me anymore, especially here in nashville. Like it's stated above, when the titans are on CBS, there's no game on FOX at that same time.
Rhylan, i bet this crazy showing schedule has to do with NFL's agreement with DirectTV. The less games shown on broadcast TV, the more people will want to go to NFL Sunday Ticket.

I wondered the same thing about Sunday Ticket after I posted.
Sunday Ticket ain't cheap though.. especially if you're like me and end up doing stuff on a lot of Sundays and catching only the Cowboys game, or 3/4 of the Cowboys game, and maybe not from my house. I toyed with the idea of getting it last year but I don't think I could justify the "investment."

The season passes for NBA, NHL, and MLB are alot better on Directv than on any of the other carriers. Nearly all of the NBA League Pass games are in HD. With the MLB package you get dual feeds for every game and at least one of the feeds will be in HD. I have FIOS now because I just moved back to Dallas and don't need the sports packages, but even without ST directv has superior sports coverage.

First weekend, Dan, and it looks like Nashville will have the cowboys game as the early game (helps that titans actually play Thursday)

Well that sucks... Comcast shows that the noon game tomorrow is the Indy/SF game, so this is the first time I won't be able to watch, (actually flew in and went to the Atlanta game - God is that stadium impressive).
I know we have done this once already - but, because this is a NOON game, any places you would recommend over others considering a lot of bars might not yet be open? Just trying to shorten the list of businesses I have to call tomorrow trying to find a place with DirecTV that will let me watch the game on one TV.

YES!!! Nevermind, started calling around places and Dave and Busters in the Opry Mills mall opens at 11am, has NFL Sunday Ticket, and ALWAYS plays the Cowboys per an employee there. So if anyone else has this need now you know.
I will definitely be there tomorrow!!!

What do you know - Dallas and Tennessee plays at the same time, (one on Fox and one on CBS), and BOTH are being offered in Nashville. Sweet!

Shit - I didn't even think about that... Where else can I go again? Any other Dave & Buster-type places?

That's a damn good idea.. and be thankful that you're a fan of the team that is most likely going to be asked for at any bar.

Already found my replacement bar... Called them and they always have the Cowboys on and reviews show they have great food and an awesome beer selection.

I will be there every game the Cowboys aren't televised locally.

dude, i LOVE LOVE LOVE sam's. I used to live like 3 or 4 blocks away from the one in hillsboro village and was there at least one night every weekend and during the week, too. Bouncers would check everyone's ID on busy nights except mine.
Random/timely note, i even went there the weekend after 9/11, even with no sports on TV, just cause it was habit and i was depressed watching 9/11 coverage and needed something else to do.
anyway, they have my favorite wings in Nashville, and great pizza, too! If you have been to Jonathan's, it's very similar. In fact, it used to be a Jonathan's before they changed locations, and i think the new owners of the hillsboro village location kept a lot of the same menu.
It can get kind of crowded with vandy students during the school year, though.
I would have suggested them before, but i think you said you were out in bellevue.

I was - bought a house in Hendersonville though. That is the one I am talking about going to by the way (not the one in Hillsboro village). It is like 5 minutes from my house. Score!

Ah then you don't have to worry about vandy students, then! I haven't been to the hendersonville one, but i would assume they have the same menu.

That would be sweet. Except here in Nashville, whenever the titans play, there is no game shown on FOX. They show a movie or something. That sucks. I do enjoy watching the titans, but would enjoy some other options.
I could do the 2 TVs, though. NFL Redzone on the second.
