Default Dallas @ Denver Gameday Thread

Yes the Nuggets are struggling coming out of the gate with a 4-5 record. But they have played well as of late winning 3 of their last 4 games. Melo seems to be coming out of a funk. And little Earl Boykins is playing big for the Nuggets. Hopefully Dampier and Terry can play tonight against Denver. This will be a tough game on the road for Dallas. With that said...if the Mavs can get off to a good start in tonight's ballgame...I think we can come out of the Pepsi Center with a win. Go Mavs!

Mavs definitely win tonight, with or without Damp and Terry. I'm a little worried about the Nuggets and their inside presence (and our lack of one) but I don't think that formula will be enough for them to pull out a win. I am also concerned about how poorly the Mavs played against the Knicks, I'd really like to see them come out strong and win a decisive one today.

106 - 99 Mavs

Stackhouse continues his strong play of late and chips in with 26. Dirk finishes with a hard fought 30 points and Damp gets 15 boards as the mavs cruise 110-90.

Providing Damp re-enters the line up and plays at least 25 mins, Mavs skreetch by 109-106.

I refuse to think they'll waste an opportunity to retake the division lead. howard can handle melo on the defensive end, and harris and daniels should do a decent job containing earl boykins. Just cross your fingers and hope stackhouse shows up big and no one gets into early foul trouble.

This is a first for me. Actually plugged in the laptop to be on the net while the game is played. Be gentle with me.

Gotta me a great opportunity to inflate the number of posts. Stuff like "Wahoo! did you see that play?" "The refs suck!" "What is Nelson thinking?" "Get the ball to Dirk!"

There, I feel better already.

Denver has no idea how to score against the zone. Without Voshon Lenard they don't have any outside shooting at all.

Very happy to see Harris with 4 assists already. Points based on succesful plays, instead of relying on the individual player to play out his defender, it's a great thing.

This is awesome. So far the two games I've seen this season have been amazing. The other game I saw was the Miami game. I hope everyone has the endurance to last the game. Its nice seeing Dampier AND Terry playing tonight. You can really tell that Dirk is making everyone around him better. Harris has been playing really nice basketball so far.

Dirk with 7 & 3. Right on average. Stackhouse was good (except for the layup); Harris was good; Howard was good.

But most of all, the zone baffled Denver. Time to bring big Shawn in and keep it going.

Denver is definitely getting all the calls they want while Dallas isn't. Camby poked Dirk in the eye when Dirk was going for a rebound.
