I saw a promo with Sylar and HRG in a car together tonight.
Also, it looks like Suresh will be up to something interesting this year as well.
Also happy to see Kristen Bell back. I don't generally care for blonds, but...she's A-OK.
This better be good. Last season was the proverbial "suxor."

At 26 years of age, I can safely say that I do not find her attractive at all. She looks 13 to me. Why won't she get taller?!?

youre lying to yourself and I'm not sure why.. no reason to feel guilty about thinking she's hot since she "isn't" underage.

I really want to be excited, but am not. I'm in wait and see mode.
I have a fear that this is going to be a great year and then we get to the end game of the season and it just doesn't deliver. That is what this show has programmed me for.

I will go out on a limb and say that he will unwittingly help the bad-guys. Then he will realize that that's what he always does, and he will decide to just be a bad guy. And he will end up unwittingly helping the good guys.

I watched every preview during the Cowboy season, and came away completely uninterested. I'm just done with the show. But I fear my wife is going to demand I watch it, because the last two seasons it has been one of our stop down shows, and she's still into it.
We'll see.

The picture doesn't help the case at all, btw. She looks like a little girl trying to look "sexy".

Hayden was also Ally Mcbeal's daughter on the show. Still doesn't look grown up much imo..

Yes, my wife is the same way. She got pretty excited when she saw the commercials last night, and she has already demanded the HD be tuned to Heroes tonight rather than football. Personally I'm more looking forward to Chuck next week.

this show has a lot of "earning" to do with me this season...I'm such an old school comic nerd that I'll watch it either way...but last season (much of the time) it didn't deserve my time.

That was completely underwhelming. I still can't figure out what did in this show for me. I think it was the break, coupled with so few characters that are worth caring about. I find myself not caring about any of them now.

Does anyone else find this show to be the most poorly-acted on television? I can't deal with it.

uh, hello - future peter v. present peter is cool potential.
Linderman living in Nathan's brain (or whatever is going on) is just cool.
The south american chick is a more interesting (and useful) character than she was.
There's a host of bad-guys on the loose.
And HRG is after them.
The electric girl has been cut loose and is ticked off.
The cheerleader is having a real identity crisis, and might actually change the plot, rather than just act as vehicle.
We've not only got the season tease (the formula), but we know why its a tease.
Mrs. Petrelli has replaced that lame gold guy as head of the company
Mrs. Petrelli is Sylar's mom.
This show might have some quirks that anyone of us finds unlikeable, but you haters are hating just for hate's sake. If you don't like it, don't watch it. There's no reason to get all whiney and spread it around in here.

I'd toss in:
Future Ando with his Return of the Jedi lightning.
The new and improved Ice Queen Nicki.
Future Peter having goodness knows what new powers (probably including whatever he used to implant younger PP's psyche into that sound guy).
It should be fun to watch the hapless Dr. Mohinder go all 'David Cronenburg's The Fly' on us.
And most of all, it looks to me like the writers and producers may have a new willingness to let the bad guys really unleash their powers to cause real death and havoc, even if that leaves if that leaves the show being a bit more PG-13 than PG, and I think that would represent a real step forward for this series (the fire guy burning up innocent bystanders at that gas station, and Ice Nicki graphically killing that reporter stand as good examples of that).
All said, it looks to me like the writers and producers are gearing up to give us a demolition derby of super-powered battles this season, and that's something that I've thought this series needed even back in the 'magical' but very slow paced first season. Again, I do like the direction the show appears to be headed in, and I'd give last night's two episode season starter a solid B+...

Did anyone else come away from the Sylar/Claire scene going WTF???
That was a funny line the writers put in there about eating her brain being disgusting...that was directed right at the fans.
But what did he do? What was he doing and how did it give him her power? I still don't get it...and if you explain it to me, I'm going tell you that it's a little too far fetched even for this show.
Hiro and Peters ability to time travel opens the possibility for...well anything. Future peter is still trying to run and around and "fix" something..well why doesn't he just go back and keep trying? When you give a character the ability do a certain thing that you would obviously try, you need to also establish a good reason why he cannot do that thing, if it's your intention for him not to do so.
My wife was saying the whole time, "well if peter caused claire to stay, and give Sylar her power, why doesn't he just go back to that time and stop it from happening?"

Not quite a WTF. I had a 'huh?' I couldn't tell exactly what he did. But I think that was the point. Obviously he did something different than we expected - it'll take some time to find out exactly what, though.

I kept asking things like that, too. But I think the show is actually treating us with more respect, rather than less respect, than I'd thought. Hiro told Ando that he wouldn't be time traveling because of what happened last time he did it. When I thought to myself that Peter must've started to learn the same thing, I became very (very) glad that they didn't repeat the same point every time someone didn't time travel.

By the way, I really liked how shockerchick was able to hurt Sylar...
How many obvious storylines will Heroes rip off....with Mohinder as Spider Man and then "The Fly"...come on guys, come up with something original...or at least obvious.
So is Mama Petrelli really Sylar's mom?

I'm not sure how people can come away from last nights episodes and not be excited about the season. They've already made me like characters I didn't like last season like Maya and Nikki. And btw, what in the hell is up with Nikki lol. I don't know and I like that. I'm interested in her character again and I haven't been since the 1st episode of the 1st season.
There's always been this secret about Mama Petrilli. Atleast for me anyway. I never realized that she was the one to give Peter his first power to dream about the future. Did everyone else already know that or did it just completely go over my head?
I like they've let Elle free. Knox is gonna be a beast. I'm loving how Heroes got two actors from the best show on TV in Wire. Jamie Hector and Andre Royo are great actors. They said Andre Royo was a guest star but I didn't see him in the episode at all. The villians are rutheless. Love it.

I don't know. I guess if I was wtching the show for its acting i'd probably notice it but the acting is sort of an after thought for me. If this was a show like The Shield or The Wire but I don't really watch this show for the acting. I never once came across as Claire being a bad actress. Not saying she is or isn't it just never crossed my mind.

I fell asleep when Sylar did whatever he did to Claire to get her power.
What I always assumed is that he simply used *his* power - he knows how things work, so by opening up heads he can look at how the hero's brain works to figure out how they have their power, which allows him to do the same thing. Is that not what happened? He obviously didn't eat them.

And..... overall I think the first hour was setup to fix the sins of the past for the show. It's gimmicky but it might work. It was really sappy at times and hard to get through. But I think I understand why they did it.
I thought the second hour was pretty good. I'll stick with it for sure.

My wife will force me to watch it anyway so...
Although we both thought all the Mohinder stuff was really terrible.
And the Nikki stuff...maybe I just didn't get it...is she the same physical being, or is this a completely new person that really doesn't know anything about the rest of that stuff?
I don't get it.

I think the Ali Larter character was just reimagined. The producers had to know how limiting and boring that whole double-character was. So I think they just "recast" her in a new role.

In Mohinder's love scene....we saw a little side boobie....and in the scene with the villains steal the van we see a woman getting burned to death... what is this NYPD Blue???
