I didn't watch the Boys-Pats game, so I apologize if this was already noted. (I DVRed the game and then deleted it without watching when i saw the final score). In the Buffalo game, Newman grabbed an INT and tried to run it back for a TD, but he seemed to be moving in slow motion. Last night, he looked fast! I distinctly remember him chasing down the receiver on the long pass that set up Philly's first TD. He ran by everyone.

What is the rule that allowed for the flag on the hit against Witten to be called off? The referee said something about "runner had both feet on the ground at the time of contact", but it sure looked like helmet-to-helmet contact. Or is that only to protect quarterbacks?
I haven't paid attention to rules changes the last few years. |
