Default General Tommy Franks on David Letterman

Did anyone see this? I think that man is my hero of the moment. What an inspiration.

I thought he reinforced so many of the things I have felt about the current "struggle" between the US and terrorist factions. And the most poignant thing I think he said was something to the affect of that we are in a battle to have our children, and our grandchildren grow up in a world where they are not afraid to go out in public or get on an airplane.

I hope we hear more out of him, he has given his life to protecting this nation of ours.

Default RE: General Tommy Franks on David Letterman

I guess I should have said he has given his life to protecting the United States (my apologies to the non US citizens of the board).

Here is a real life hero, but when you read the news nowadays it is all about the crappy politicans blaming and pointing fingers.
