The NFL estimates the national rating will be between 17.0 and 17.5, which will be the highest national rating for any regular-season game since 16.7 on Nov. 1, 1998.


Before anyone starts blathering about America's Team, it is true that Romo-mania may have boosted the numbers in some parts of the country. But you can't discount the enormous size of the New York market for putting it over the top ratings-wise. The game did a 19.3 Nielsen rating in New York for an average audience of 1.4 million households. That's more than the combined audience in Dallas-Fort Worth (35.7 rating, 848,000 households), Houston (10.8, 215,000), San Antonio (24.4, 189,000) and Austin (21.0, 127,000).

WOWW.. is Romo Mr. Perfect or something? Or mr. wonderful. He has a story on ESPN's outside the lines where they show an old football of his when he was a kid and on it he wrote "I'm just playing for love of the game".

This guy is just... wow.. There couldn't be a greater story than him.
