Nope. Phoenix has one more win so we'd be 1/2 game out if they lose this game.

He played in the all star game last year. Which by my recollections, is the most recent all star game to date; this makes him an all star.

Because he's not having dunks handed to him every single possession.

are you trying to tell me that the most arrogant guy in basketball is overrated because 88% of all his field goal makes are assisted aka easier? (I think that makes him the highest assist-receiver in the NBA BTW). It can't be that he is in such a great offensive scheme that even Steven Hunter looked managable.

Hill did not play in the All Star game last year. He did however play in the 2005 All star game, as a Magic, for the last time.

the espn.com/nba link is dead. The direct link now is sports.espn.go.com/nba/index or you can access it by clicking on the NBA link on the front page of espn.com

I can't believe we've caught up with the Spurs already after that nice lead we spotted them early in the season. And it's not like we had to go on a 15 game win streak or anything to do it.
Heck the Spurs can't even claim the injury bug on the last couple of losses. It looks like they have been close to full strength for a few games now.

The big 3 have been together for 3 games now. While Duncan and Parker are healthy you can tell the wrap/splint bothers Ginobli. Not sure how much longer he'll have to wear that but it clearly effects his shooting. Only 3 games after 5 weeks of not playing together will knock the rhythm off they had. The ball movement is also hurting without Barry to throw out there but he should be back next week. And some of the guys that were playing a bigger role are slumping now that they've been bumped back to role players.
I'm surprised they didn't have a free fall with how tough the west is.

woah. Bobby Jackson just did a sick crossover and pull up 3 (his foot might have been on the line). I haven't seen him do anything that cool since his Sacramento days.

Unbelievable how that one move has just about destroyed that team. They have to make a change to get rid of wallace.

Good lord do the Minnesota Timberwolves just completely stink. The Rockets had 10 players score tonight I believe, with one getting nine points in just three minutes.

Well 5-5 in their last 10 may not be a free fall, but it's pretty mediocre, especially for the Spurs.

Best point guard in the league? I'd have to say so with the way he is playing and the way his team has been playing. And with the way Nash has set the standard for the MVP trophy, you'd have to figure he's be a major contender for the next 5 or so MVP trophies.

Yes they do... Especially since they are playing for lotto balls. Yes they do.
Antoine Walker...can't make free throws...but you wan't lotto balls...he's your man.
They are doomed anyway as long as McHale is around, ridiculous.

Minnesota
Phili
Cleveland
Houston
Charlotte
Guess we need to keep winning.

Well this is the year Houston is going to become a contender so I think they'll probably hand the Spurs a loss...
Okay, even I couldn't keep a straight face on that one.

Chris Paul wasn't the only Hornets PG feeling it.
Bobby Jackson, 9-9 FG, 7-7 3FG, 25 points
Jannero Pargo, 4-4 FG, 1-1 3FG, 9 points
Yes, the Hornets' three point guards combined for 50 points on 20 shots without shooting a single free throw.

Pop has played some different lineups and using the bench but that is no excuse for the Spurs to be down at the half by 1.

Pop must have had a few words for the Spurs at the half.
Milwaukee up 7 at the half over Phoenix.
Bobcats lose on an offensive goaltend call to the Pistons in OT.
Washington beast Boston. Impressive.

Congrats to Pop for getting his 600th career win. Big milestone for one of the best coaches around.
The Kings got a big boost tonight with the return of Kevin Martin. Bibby is close to returning though none of that will help get them in the playoffs this year.
