I totally understand rooting against the Star, but Dak and Zeke have been entertaining as hell to watch -- I'd think any football fan could get into what those kids are doing.

Bringing Romo back would be one of the worst moves in Dallas sports history. Doesn't even matter if Romo is any good. That page has turned and you need to build the future which is already looking great today.
Romo just takes too many risks as a quarterback that are totally unnecessary with our offensive line. Dak's under control, mid range throwing arm is perfect for this team.

Yeah count me in the camp that, when the season started, I was saying Romo needed to play when he was ready. Yeah... I've done a complete 180'. There is no way you can put Romo in at this point. Not just because of momentum and team chemistry and locker room stuff, which are all important. But Dak actually is probably much better with this offense than Tony is. On most teams Tony would be the better option but when we are this good at running the ball and we don't really want the chunk plays, because that gets the defense back on the field that much faster... it's not really a debate anymore Dak should be the guy.
Having said that... To answer UD earlier... Yes Jerry will screw this up.

I'm curious what Romo thinks. I haven't heard anything from Tony on if he feels he should start or if the team should stick with Dak.

I've been wondering the same thing...
I've also been wondering if Dak is some kind of karmic retribution for the way Romo sent Bledsoe into retirement... This article came out a few weeks/wins ago: Drew Bledsoe wonders if Tony Romo's time is up in Dallas. Can't shake that feeling.

If you are in the mood for a quick chuckle, check out this interview with Dez Bryant. I got a nice laugh out of the end of the video when he was asked about replacing Dak with Romo. It's pretty clear that Dez thinks you have to keep Prescott in there, and it's funny how he deflects the question.

I was expecting posters here to want Romo back in for some reason, but I was wrong. On Cowboyszone forum it's pretty split there are some that give Dak no credit say it's all the offensive line (yet tend to give Zeke all the credit for what he's doing, go figure) This is no fluke Dak rarely threw INTs in college and took Mississippi State to a #1 ranking for the only time ever and it lasted for 5 weeks. He holds every single QB record for Miss State too. A lot of scouts missed the ball on Dak.
I appreciate what Romo did but it's time to turn the page however I'm still not convinced Jerry feels the same way.

A lot of people mention the Jerry Jones thing as if he somehow owes it to Romo. Jerry has been loyal to Romo for ten years and with lots of cash despite the lack of a superbowl. I just don't see how anyone could view Jerry sticking with Dak as somehow being disloyal to Romo.

What bothers me is the Cowboys have said nothing to Dak given him no assurances at all. i think most people assume he won the job when they beat the Packers and I've been on his bandwagon since the pre-season but who knows what Jerry will do. I haven't trusted his judgment since he got rid of Jimmy Johnson the Cowboys might have 7 or 8 super bowls if he was allowed to stay but I'm hoping hes smart enough to know that you don't want 80-90% of your fanbase angry at you for making a change when it wasn't neccessary. Only time will tell.

Romo only has 2 career playoff wins -- Dak could tie that number this season if the Cowboys continue to play like they have been.

What? Can you explain yourself a little bit better? Every team gets a bye week.
I guess you're saying the bye week might have broke the momentum and it will make it easier to put Romo back in?

Not sure about Romo, but i meant the momentum, yes. The bye would not have "helped" Romo either after a win.

Be interesting to see what the Cowboys would do once Romo returns. Dak will be good..but, let's be honest, he's had the tremendous benefit of throwing to wide open receivers because of the line and running game. Last night, the Eagles loaded the box and frequently blitzed. I had wondered how Dak would react to this. And, well, he was bad but good enough late in the 4th and OT. Could have easily been picked 4 times... and floated the ball over the middle a few times.. can't do that in the NFL. But, he showed his elusiveness and made plays with his legs.
The defense was daring the Cowboys to beat them with the pass. There were times when the Eagles had 10 guys within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage defensively. Dak repeatedly missed Beasley wide open on the blitzes and missed Dez on a deep post that would have gone for a huge game. But, again, he made some plays with his feet and made enough throws to survive with significant help from the Eagles.

Jets contacted Cowboys about a Sheldon Richardson deal. We said no thank you. Thank God we declined, I've had my fill of marijuana problems on the Cowboys.

Glad we said no but didn't get any defensive help and we need it especially with Mo and Church injuries.

I wanted us to add someone, but only at the right price. NFL trade deadline has to be the most over-hyped, over-discussed, and underwhelming sporting date year after year. And every year I fall for the idea that trades will actually happen.

Rangers spit the bit, Mavs season is DOA... Can the Cowboys save Dallas sports this year?
No pressure, Dak!

At least we have one good Dallas team.
(Although I'd still wager the Mavs make the playoffs.)

I really don't like games like this especially with young players. It's difficult to assess Prescott when he's constantly throwing to wide open receivers and is facing very, very little pressure. Quincy Carter would have had a great game yesterday.
