just got my first apartment
1 bed/1 bath
742 square feet
it's really, really nice and new though.. All the normal stuff: 24 fitness room, tanning, basketball court, pool, hot tub etc. I guess washer/dryer are standard in a lot of new apartments but I was happily suprised. They're stacked in a closet of this bathroom that's better than any bathroom I'll ever need.
pretty exciting... right near my work and right near the WSU campus that I'm thinking about transferring to at some point. Gonna be fun to live alone.. hasn't really sunk in. Just found out a few hours ago.
best part is there was only one apartment open, (it's a big place over 400 apartments) and it's the floor plan I wanted and like the perfect position. It's in the back facing away from the complex, so out of my window and deck I see forest and ivy and stuff rather than a parking lot.

I live across the river from Portland in Vancouver, Washington. There's a Washington State University campus about a 2 minute walk from my apartment.

You need to stock a full bar for when the ladies come over.

yup
One of the things I'm looking most forward to is enjoying a nice bottled beer while watching the mavs in my own living room.
unfortunately I'm still only 20 so it'll be a pain to keep stocked for awhile.

Congrats on making payments for something you won't even get to keep!
I'm just kidding, we've probably all been in that boat. First one is always fun though.
Totino's oven pizzas might just save your life this year =P Cheers.

congrats man. Doesn't it feel good? Roommates suck.
i've had roommates forever, lived in a frat house for 3 years with 50 dudes. Crazy times though. After school, with friends and stuff.
i'm living with the soon to be wife, we have been living together for 1.5 years.
Don't rush anything, your time will come. Also, have parties.
Go buy Icehouse kegs of beer, tell everybody its bud light or something.
You will have women crawling on the ground, they will be soooo drunk. Do it, its genius.
Also, you may be wasted too. Either way. It is genius.
ahhh the memories.

LOLOLOLOL
just found out that my best friend, who I've been in a fight with so we haven't really been talking much, didn't get accepted to transfer to the college he wanted and he got an apartment AT THE SAME PLACE without either of us knowing.

Word! One of my genius friends figured out that you can buy the cheap cheese ones and then add your own toppings like spinach, sausage, mushrooms... I recommend allotting space for the pizza boxes though. It adds up fast.

What if he can't spare the room bc his freezer is full of vodka (like mine always was)?

At this rate you might also want to consider hi-fi & shag carpet...
